Admiral Allison Amaechina Madueke, the quiet
retired Naval officer-husband of the immediate past minister of
petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke has been reportedly arrested by the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection to what
may likely be his involvement in the multiple fraudulent practices of
his wife during her hey days as a top shot of the Goodluck Jonathan's
administration.
According
to sources, Mr. Madueke was arrested Wednesday morning by the
operatives of the anti-graft commission in Abuja for allegedly
laundering more than $600,000 via his personal accounts.
The
report quoted a source as saying that, “Mr. Madueke was arrested
this morning in Abuja and released on administrative bail.”
The
agency also confiscated Mr. Madueke’s international passport in
order to prevent him from leaving the country and placed him under

officer. He was Chief of Naval Staff from 1993 to 1994, military
governor of Anambra State from January 1984 to August 1985, and Imo
State military governor from 1985 to 1986
