Eyebrows As Weird Tonto Dike Weds Her Queer Hubby, Churchill

If the pictures flying around social networks of which controversial actress, Tonto Dike has been acting purportedly, as wedding shindig is anything to go by, then the lady who walks tall as Nigeria’s weirdest actress must have been married to a young man, said to be a relation of one time President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, her husband’s name is given as Seun Churchill Oladunni, and sometime they add Obasanjo to the name to make people believe he’s really one of Obasanjo’s children.

Without being too critical of their rather too-quiet a strange relationship which ultimately catapulted and blossomed to a sudden outlandish marriage, at National Enquirer, we congratulate the couple and pray that God in His infinite mercies bless the union with every good things of life including fruits of the womb. Amen.

But aside all this, pundits have decided to take a look at some salient points shrouding their relationship, all these are what are still throwing some people off balance into believing that, our dear Tonto might be playing her usual gambit having been involved in series of damning and peculiar publicity stunts in the past.

Truth be told, the wedding story looks so real to be doubted and more so, no sane soul will dare play up marriage as a game to fool the world but yet, pundits have been so surprised at the different straight-face-countenance of the so called hubby who has never shown any form of happiness on his wedding day or who in this world is never happy on his wedding day.

Tonto and his hubby have had cause to celebrate their love affair severally, and in particular, of recent, twice; one during the surprise proposal and engagement and just yesterday, another landmark journey into their liaison-the traditional wedding ceremony; and in all these, the hubby has been keeping a kinda quiet mien and straight face as if under a certain condition to act as instructed. For instance, it is so obvious that, the guy has no choice or best put, upper hand in the marriage; this could be seen in his dress sense where he was “forced” or cajoled to wear a see-through rayon on his traditional wedding day, a material a real Yorubaman will never dare to wear at all for any occasion, talk less on wedding day.

Understandably, some people could be grumpy sometimes due to certain things on their mind but not on a wedding day or why do you think a man would be putting up a straight face on the day he’s endorsing the person he wishes to live with, till the end of his life, and more so, publicly. This, Tonto’s hubby, Seun Churchill has displayed in their wedding pictures and some people are even of the opinion that, the guy is too cold for comfort with nothing cheery to show for a happy go lucky dude he’s supposed to be.

According to Maya Angelou, an award winning author and poet in one of her interviews, she said, “I never trust people who don’t laugh, who said, “I am serious” and act as if they put airplane glue on the back of their hands and stuck the glue to their foreheads. I think, “You’re not serious; you’re boring as hell.”
If you’re serious, you really understand that it’s important that you laugh as much as possible and admit that you’re the funniest person you ever met. You have to laugh. Admit that you’re funny. Otherwise, you die in solemnity.”, the words of Maya Angelou.

There must be more to the wedding “contract’ of Tonto Dike and her hubby than meets the eyes or why do you think the marriage is being too “coded” and also unusually quiet. For somebody of Tonto Dike’s status coupled with the background of the husband and his perceived influence in the society, the duo, no doubt deserves more than this kind of quiet wedding but like they say, time will tell. Below are some of the moods of their celebration of love as captured.

Boko Haram Victims Get Relief On World Habitat Day

The plight of the Internally Displaced Persons-IDPs in Nigeria has been prioritised to lead the agenda at this year’s World Habitat Day being organized by a global sustainable development firm, Ecologistics Integrated Services in conjunction with other stakeholders such as the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency-LASEPA, Sesor-The Empowerment Foundation and Partnership For A New Nigeria-PFAAN.

According to the President of Ecologistics Integrated Services, Dr. Paul Abolo, the World Habitat Day which holds this year at the Civic Centre on Monday October 5th, 2015 is the one day set aside annually to recognize the basic right of all humanity to adequate shelter and encourage grassroots action toward ending housing poverty. It is declared in 1985 by the United Nations’ general assembly to be celebrated in every first Monday of October.

Stating further, Dr. Abolo said “Ecologistics joins with our partners around the world to rededicate ourselves to a world where everyone has a decent place to live. It is also intended to remind the world that we all have the power and responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns”. The IDPs can pose a challenge to our collective wellbeing if not properly managed and this focused event will provide an excellent opportunity to highlight key human settlement issues within the context of the IDPs to ensure that these camps don’t translate to slums thereby compounding on population problems posed by movement of these displaced Nigerians from their homelands.

Each year, the World Habitat Day takes on a new theme chosen by the United Nations based on current issues relevant to the Habitat agenda. The themes are selected to bring attention to UN-Habitat’s mandate to promote sustainable development policies that ensure adequate shelter for all.

Ecologistics Integrated Services and its partners-Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, Sesor-The Empowerment Foundation and PFAAN are working on the theme: Our Cities and The IDPs-Checking Nigeria’s Urban Vulnerability Through Actionable Habitat Initiatives For The Nigerian IDP” which has been designed to address the link between the environmental impact of IDPs and the challenge of providing an appreciable habitat for these victims of society.

In recent times, the plights of the Internally Displaced Persons arising from the insurgent attacks in some North Eastern States of Nigeria have been the subject of discussion the world over and ironically whilst the attacks is being masterminded by militants claiming to fight for the liberation of the Muslim world, some IDPs are being run by the International Christian Mission Centre that has been catering for about 1,400 people displaced from States such as Adamawa, Borno, Plateau and Jigawa.

The LASEPA boss, Engr. (Hon.) Adebola Shabi who was ably represented by Engr. Falase at the press briefing which held at the Civic Centre reiterated that the World Habitat Day 2015 which holds in Lagos will be a great platform to discuss initiatives and opportunities to contribute to the solutions that will help address our cities and the IDPs. We are hoping that with the support of corporate organizations, the event will be made very successful. Through sponsorship and in kind support, we’re working with habitat-friendly, and environmental oriented companies who see helping people as opportunity to make a difference.

Other stakeholders seeking the support of well meaning corporate firms to increase their CSR base are Evangelist Elishamah Ideh whose foundation, Partnership For A New Nigeria-PFAAN is on board the project, also Madam Ier Jonathan Ichaver of Sesor-The Empowerment Foundation. The vote of thanks was given by Arc. Taiwo Ekun, the Vice President of Ecologistics Integrated Services.

Bode George Slams Tinubu, Aregbesola, "Leave Ife Stool For Kingmakers"

A former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George, has warned the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to steer clear of the process of selecting the next Ooni of Ife.

George, who is the Atona Oodua of Yoruba land, told The Punch on Monday that Tinubu should not use his relationship with the Osun State governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, to manipulate the process.
“He will be making attempts to manipulate the process. They will do politics with it but it will blow up. They should allow the kingmakers do their work. If he manipulates the process, he will create a huge problem in Yoruba land.
“Let him allow the kingmakers do their job. He should not set Yoruba land on fire. Aregbesola should, instead, focus on paying salaries.

According to George, the politics of Ife is not like that of Lagos and Tinubu should not set a bad precedence in Yoruba land.

“He (Tinubu) tried it at the National Assembly but came back with a slap. He should, therefore, not go out of his way to bring in an APC-inclined man as the next Ooni. We want an Ooni that will be fair and not connected with all these politicians.
“We need an experienced person. We want the person that the kingmakers will approve of. As the Atona Oodua, I know how these things are done.”

Bukola Saraki Rated World's Richest Senate President...His Amazingly Stupendous Wealth and Properties

The Senate President of the fourth republic of Nigeria, Senator Bukola Saraki is no doubt a record breaker by all standard. The strong man of Kwara politics has broken so many records and has finally crossed the Rubicon as World's Richest Senate President, this much National Enquirer can authoritatively reveal.

The silverspoon dude is holding the record for being the first person to wrestle power off his father and began to decide the politics of the Kwarans and not just that, he's the only heir apparent, till date, to eye his father's seat as Senate President, you would recalled that, Bukola's father, the late Oloye was the Senate Leader in the second republic and now, he's Senate President of the 8th Senate in the fourth republic.

Another point of interest that stands the fabulously rich politician out is his bravery and betraying antics to become the Senate President, without the approval of the ruling party that gave him the platform and even against all odds.

According to informed sources who has worked with the gangling man of style for many years, Bukola's children, Tosin, Seni, Teniola and Teniayo are allegedly said to be worth close to N800m in liquid cash while their mum, Toyin who's presently facing trial with the anti graft agency, EFCC is said to have piled a whopping N1.5b (one billion and five hundred million Naira only) in some banks, somewhere around the world.
