Toyin Aimakhu Leads Linda Ikeji, Toyin Lawani, Mercy Aigbe, Others To Win Social Media Awards

The advent of the various social media platforms have indeed shown the true colours and personal idiosyncrasies of so many of our celebrities, like they say behaviour is a mirror with which every one displays his own image. The happenings and behaviour excesses on social media are so common and rampant that the situation is calling for recognition as a way of rewarding everyone as deemed fit as regards social media conducts. This awards, Enquirer's Social Conducts will be reviewed every quarter to serve as check and balances for societal dos and don'ts among notable celebrities who're supposed to be rôle models. Please see who got what...

Epitome of Success
Just like it implies, the memento is in recognition of an outstanding personality in the art whose status and high profile lifestyle is unrivalled. Aside being a rôle model to beat, the winner in this category is the only celebrity whose fans team, rate as the highest. Arguably though, not sure there's any other celebrity that has clocked 1m followership on instagram in Nigeria. She's definitely an idol, a shining example, a mentor and mirror with which the upcomers can see-through. Its for no one else but superstar actress, Genevieve Nnaji.

Serial Juliet of The Year
This award goes to a popular Yoruba actress who has been adjudged to have displayed the most gullible and shameless social media conduct so far and also for her indecency and recklessness in ''body offering'' for different male folks even as ssomebody's legal wife. Overall, she beats others in her category to walk tall having allegedly flaunted 4 men or more as lovers over a period of 4 years. This actress who boasted of being a frontline rôle model has been romantically linked to a Yahoo Boy in Ibadan who gave her a car she was cruising about town then, the romance packed up and she moved to another sizzling affair with a guy, Kunle Fatai Shoyombo who later dumped her and married his pregnant lover. She found God's favour not too long after being dumped when she met a lanky, tall and handsome dude who appeared to be the bone of her bone. She had a society wedding and in what looked like a spiritual warfare, she woke up one day again to pack out of the celebrated relationship and as if that's not enough, she emptied every dirty clothes in her wardrobe and began to wash them at the centre of a market square when she jumped on another man called Seun Egbegbe for yet another shameful affair just weeks after leaving her husband. And when Seun threw her out, she employed the services of local drummers who saw her off to Instagram where she danced to celebrate her disgraceful track records once more. The public awaits again, her new found love even though, her body language is contemplating going back to her legal home. Can we have a resounding round of applause for the winner in this category....And the winner is......Toyin Aimakhu.

Queen Of Owambe
This award goes to a girl next door, a fortunate lady and an On-Air-Personality who got her full groove after treating her skin from being a COKE to a FANTA, infact, the gist in town is that, some of her family are finding it hard to believe she's the one owing to her total transformation from skin to new lease of extroverted lifestyle which she's capitalising on it to rule the social waves. Her social agrressive style paid off recently though as the cosmetic freak just cornered for herself, a juicy mega deal of becoming a cosmetic ambassador. She has also had her fair share of matrimony squabbles when her hubby-to-be impregnated former GF leaving her in the cold, and this was the beginning of the restlessness that catapulted her into attending every parties in town whether invited or not like an NTF (No Thinking Faculty). Her catchment area is in ''famsy...ing'' different designers on her social pages with a decoy to getting enough to wear to parties. Winning in this category is beautiful Vlogger, English & Literature graduate of the University of Lagos and OAP extraordinaire, Toke Makinwa.

Regent of Parody
This category honours a thoroughbred practitioner in the art, an extraordinary female actor, an award winning Nollywood personality who has been able to step up her game by crossing over from regular acting to a comic dramatist of note. This can be attested to by the various post of her comical sitcom on her instagram page-Jenifa's Diary. In this category, actress Funke Akindele a.k.a Jenifa rules

This goes to a serial entrepreneur, business amazon, and dynamic investment adventurer who has displayed more than enough passion in her areas of specialty. This woman of substance is bestriding every trade like a collosus. The activities on her social media platforms are amazingly diverse with her fingers stock in all kinds of commerce. She's a fashion designer, make up artist, builder, architect, food vendor, photographer, wardrobe manager, actress, presenter, model and what have you. The winner in this category is a master planner, Toyin Lawani of Tianah's Place.

Queen of Instagram
This goes to an all round A-lister in both social and professional achievements. A fulfilled dynamo with an outstandingly impressive profile among her peers. This leading actress of note is a beauty to behold with an alarming fashion sense. On daily basis, the population of fans thronging her social media page is tumultous. Actress Mercy Aigbe-Gentry is no doubt worthy of being honoured with Queen of Instagram award.

Drama Queen
This award goes to a blessedly privileged actress who's always daring to be in the news. She's very beautiful but weird and controversial personified. She doesn't care what people think about her public assessment as long as she's having fun. In the past, she has posted pictures of many weird tattoos in different areas of her body; this coupled with pictures of her holding mariyuana are what qualified her in this category. The Drama Queen of The Year Award goes to nursing mother, Tonto Dikeh-Churchill.

Lady Brandish
This award honours a nouveau riche entrepreneur and dame of success whose thoughts, body language and public mannerism have been greatly influenced by her sudden wealth and unexpected rise to fame. Forcibly lovable and vigorously accepted, this style spellbinder has no consideration for humility and chooses to behaving affectedly all the time. Picking up the Lady Brandish award is popular blogger of international repute, Linda Ifeoma Ikeji.

Workermania
This award goes to a passionate professional, a happy go lucky girl, dame of doggedness who has shown to the world that the only way you can be happy is to do your thing. Yes, she's doing her things but with somewhat of an extra zeal without minding the fact that you don't spread every clothes in the sun. Her professional courage is second to none but some things are better kept within the ambit of privacy. Virtually everybody knows the winner in this category whenever she's working, she's shooting, she's gymming, she's booby, she's shedding, she's eating, she's flying, she's traveling and so on. For the Workermania award, the winner is actress Yvonne Jegede.

Baby Mama

This category rewards a promising artiste, a fast rising singer whose social conduct is being remote-controlled somewhere we don't know. She's fighting hard to have a befittingly artistic image but its been to no avail because of her reliance and allegiance to a set of people. Her idea of always acting and toying with being a Baby Mama on social media has cut her an image of a loose girl in show business. In this category, the award goes to Cynthia Morgan.

Mayweather's $20,000/Night Vac Jamboree, ''No Fronting Needed, Am A Rich Man By All Standard''

Boxing champ, Floyd Mayweather who's arguably world's richest athlete is on vac and the greatboxer has been on spending spree junketing around the globe in company of his daughter, Moneyyaya. Theduo has been spotted together at the famous eifel tower in Paris and later at an exclusive designer boutique where he lavished a whopping $400,000 on high end bags.
The American superstar regularly posts pictures on social media demonstrating his fabulous wealth but his latest purchase in the French capital may well have topped the lot.
Mayweather, who has been linked with a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, headed to the city of love with his daughter Iyanna and his latest Instagram video shows the eye-watering amount of cash he's splashed out.
The 39-year-old spent a remarkable total of $400,000 (£280,000) on bags from designer label Hermes.
He posted a video of him doing exactly that with the caption: 'Went bag shopping at Hermes in Paris, France today. I treated myself to one size 55 Hermes Hac crocodile men travel bag and 3 size 50 Hermes Hac crocodile men travel bags and bought @melissiarene a 40 orange crocodile Birkin.
'Over $400,000 spent in Hermes cause I stay in my lane.'
The expensive shopping trip at one of Paris' most expensive stores followed a trip to one of the city's most famous landscapes, The Louvre.
It all formed part of Mayweather's recent globe trotting expedition which has seen him enjoy his time away from the ring.
But if reports over a potential rematch with Pacquiao are to be believed, Mayweather may well be returning to the ring in the near future.
The man who calls himself 'Money' Mayweather has previously indicated he has no desire to return to competitive boxing but the pull of a fight with Pacquiao of the Philippines and its potential mega earnings may well be too hard to turn down.
Unbeaten in 49 professional fights, Mayweather may also find he'd like one more success to bring up a half century of wins before retiring for good.
The boxing star is at present enjoying life at the Maldives, Indian Ocean and here's what he posted on his instagram page on his on going vac, ''whoever said I wouldn't enjoy retirement couldn't be anymore wrong. How can you not enjoy the luxury of flying out 20 people for a dream trip around the world? Flying on Air-Mayweather and I chartered another private jet just for my luggages and the extra shopping bags, we've flown from New York to Paris to Dubai and now to the beautiful Maldives. I personally chose to stay in the best of the best, a 3-bedroom Landaa estates where I woke up to my very own private beach. At $20,000 a night, you can only imagine the amenities and the view is A1, top of the line. I worked hard and made smart investments, so honestly spending $300,000 on a vacation is just staying in my lane. Everybody is rich on social media but am wealthy in real life. No frontin' needed'', he boasted in Maldives.
Below are pictures of his vacation adventures and the video of his Maldives' breath taking $20,000 a night estate.

Floyd Mayweather, world famous boxer and questionable human being, is no stranger to the high life. In fact, thanks to the multi-millions he pulls in per fight, he's able to flaunt his wealth in ways other can only dream of. That means when he's in a high-end luxury store like Hermès, he doesn't just shop. Rather, he takes dozens of pictures documenting the shopping spree, sets the gallery to a song about being a baller, then posts the video to Instagram. And then he flat-out states how much he spent during the whole thing, which in a recent case came to a grand, grand total of $400,000.

Clearly, the dollar amount isn't surprising for a guy like Floyd. This is a man who once dropped a million dollars on a watch—twice. What is surprising is that he dropped it on just five bags. Now, Hermès is hardly known for its affordability, but even by their standards Floyd's new bags are at the higher end. And if you're wondering what a man would need to do with oversized leather/alligator bags (especially ones that are coveted by women across the globe at that), then consider the fact that their oversized shape is actually pretty perfect for a man who will certainly be hauling more luxury goods in the very near future. What is he going to do? Put a pair of $50,000 shoes in a paper shopping bag?

Also, the Group CFO, Ugo Nwaghodoh in his explanation of the bank’s strong performance attributed it to efficiency gains from operations and sales.

''No Woman Can Tame Even The Dumbest Man''-Ghanaian Actress, Ela Mensah

She’s the newest Ghananian actress who has become an item in the Nigeria’s movie industry of late. Very sexy, tall, fair skinned and blessedly endowed with long and slim fingers to complement her beauty. Ela Mensah is no doubt one of the Ghollywood’s new faces to watch out for in Nollywood this year. So far, she has featured in movies such as, Dirty Marriage, Witches In Okoko, Blood & Tears, My Private Part, Treated Like A Lady, Kukere Babes to mention but a few. The mother of one who left her first love as a TV presenter for the klieglights told your darling magazine, National Enquirer some of her best kept secrets including the man in her life and what she considered her most priceless asset.  Here are excerpts of what she told editor, Tunde Moshood during the encounter.

At what point did you decide to start acting and what's your first experience like?
I got into acting by accident, I was doing my national service at Metro TV station because I study Journalism & Media Studies, in Ghana, we call it attachment, so a friend of mine was going for an audition and she asked me to drop her with my car, when we got there, they were all asked to write their names and they started to recite something, it was all funny to me, and whilst I was watching, the producer approached me and said, ‘you so pretty, you’re presentable, can you also try it’, I told him am not an actor, am a journalist, he persuaded me and that was how I became an actor. My first experience was so funny, though I’ve been in front of camera as a presenter but it’s not the same as the news room, acting is more fun, there’s make up, costumes, welfare and so on, its more comfortable because you can wear whatever you want to wear according to your role but in the news room, it’s just suits…lol. So that’s my acting story.

What exactly do you want in the movie industry, money, fame, the fun of it or the fact that its a stepping stone to meeting people?

Of course am in for the money, money gives fame, am not for the fun, though it’s part of it, money makes you famous and the fame takes you to places, if you’re famous, people feel comfortable and want to be around you, being a celebrity takes you to places, it’s all in one package but the main reason is for the money.

There has been different versions of how you really became a hot item in Nollywood, can you share the correct version with us?

Versions how? I don’t know about versions, there’s just one person, a Nollywood actor I met for the first time, his name is Eric Stevenson, I met him here in my country at a movie location in 2012. He was a director on that set, and to my surprise, after like 3 months, he called me up and invited me over to come and act in his movie because he said he likes the way I acted in the movie we did together with Van Vicker, so that was how I went to Nigeria to partake in his movie and since then I have been coming and coming to Nigeria. The first time I ever came to Nigeria was October 1st, 2012 and it was on his invitation. So I don’t know of any version, please tell me let me clear the air.

Who're your closest Nollywood male and female actors?

Ummm…I don’t really have close female friends in the movie industry, both Ghana and Nigeria, not at all, and as for the male, maybe because I grew up with guys as the only daughter of the family, so I don’t like hanging out with girl because girls are too dramatic, am a drama queen myself so I don’t need an extra one. So my closest friend in Nollywood is Mike Ezuruonye, he’s my body body and in Ghana, they’re about three, Majid Michel is there, Prince David Osei is there, ummm..and am kind of hello hello with John Dumelo and a couple of them.

As a sexy and provocatively endowed actress, how often do you get offer in exchange for roles?

I don’t see why I’ll be termed or tagged as provocatively endowed actress, no. Yes, I agree I have body and my body comes out as oh wow, like she’s hot, she’s this, she’s that but I don’t see that as being provocatively, anyway, back to the question, nobody has ever and nobody can never ask me for anything in exchange for roles, no, I think they do it to those girls who’re desperate to be on the screen, not me, and am sure nobody can ever try it because am not desperate, I get my roles based on the fact that am a fantastic actor, I act with passion, I act from my stomach because I love to act and I know am talented very well.

How close have you been to falling for that kind of "body for role" drama because if you deny it, you're not telling us the truth?

Look, am very serious about this, seriously, nobody has asked me, being a producer, marketer or director, nobody has asked me, bring your body for a role, of course I’ve seen it, I’ve heard it and I’ve witnessed situations where they treat some girls like trash but not me, they know the kind of girls they do it to, it depends on how you present yourself, nobody will dare look at me and say give me your body for a role, it has never happened and it will never happen. And that’s the truth.

There's this rumour that you're in a sizzling romance with an actor in Nigeria?

Nooo, never, am not in any romance with any actor and am never going to date any, and you know why, I can’t date my colleague, two of us doing the same business, its going to be hell, no. Yes, am not single, yes, I am not married, yes I am not engaged and whoever it is am seeing is not an actor, never.Who’s this lucky man, is he a Ghanaian or Nigeria?Laughs…you want me to tell you, hell no, that’s too private, I want to try as much as possible to keep my private life private for security reasons, I can’t disclose his name but because you’re my friend, I’ll give you a tip, he’s a Nigerian, that’s what I can tell you.

Who's your crush among Nigerian actor?

Ummm…my crush among Nigerian actors? Ummm…who’s my crush? No, am not crushing on anybody, though I respect them, I like them, the truth is I don’t have a crush on anyone, and like I said Mike Ezuruonye is my friend but no crush on anyone. I have a crush on an American actor,  a very sweet guy, yes, very very sweet, an Hollywood actor.

And who’s this Hollywood actor?

Laughs…you just want to know everything…ummmm…anyway it’s Idris Elba, he’s so cute and I like the way he acts and does his things.

What about back home in Ghana, who's your suitor?

Ummm…back home in Ghana, I don’t have any suitor here, like I said I am not single, I don’t have any crush on any of my colleagues here either, ummm…obviously I have a lot of men at my beck and call, but I have only one person and he’s not an actor.

How professionally daring can you go in acting...will you take a nude role for a million dollars?

This question, I’ve been asked a thousand times and I keep giving same answer, yes Tunde dear, not even a billion dollars will make me go nude, and you know why, this is Africa, our cultures are different, if it’s Hollywood, if it’s in America, you can go nude and its nobody’s business, look! People have become top shot celebrities for going nude, talk of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, a lot of them, I can go on and on and on, they’re big successful people because they go nude but this is Africa, our culture is different, it is not acceptable to go nude here, the worst anyone can do is to show small small cleavage based on even the role you’re being given, you understand, so no amount of money can make me go nude and I will never go nude, never!

Are you presently in a serious relationship? Who's this man after your heart?

Umm…yes, am in a serious relationship… should I even call it serious, ummm…am in a relationship my dear let me re-phrase myself, am in a relationship, ummm…me I like him and he likes me back but we’re taking it one day at a time, I don’t know how serious we’re but am enjoying the relationship, we’re okay.

If you have your way, when will you like to be married?

Of course I want to marry, every woman wants to get marry including me and am going to get married, yes I’ll be getting married very very soon and trust me Tunde, you’re going to be the first to get the news exclusively first when the date is set, yes, very very soon.

There's this belief that, good food, being caring and great sex are parts of what keep a man, what's your own private secret in a relationship?

Yeah, everything is true, yes, good food, being caring and great sex might make you keep a man but then, you can only keep a man who wants to be kept, like I always tell my friends, no woman can change a man unless a man wants to change himself, the only men you can change are the ones who wear diapers, that’s our babies, so you can’t change any man, you can even give him ten kids, if he doesn’t want you he doesn’t want you, but I think if a woman really want to keep a man, even though its painful, it’s a man’s world and in African, men will always want to be in charge but in my own relationship, my private secret is I allow my man to be in charge, I step back and allow him to be the captain even though he also allow me to have my opinions because he knows am a strong woman, am an independent woman, that not withstanding, in the relationship, he’s the boss and am the secretary, you know men have this ego, so you have to allow them to take the charge but if you know how to play your card, I think it’ll also work out.

You're blessed with nice boobs, flat tummy, curvy hips and an inviting bum, which of these would you say is your most priceless asset?

Ummm…(lol) I don’t really know why people always see my boobs, my curves, my ass or whatever but I think my lips are so sexy, can’t you see it yourself, please my lips are my priceless asset, you can get your boobs done, your curves, ass and so on but lips are different, I think my lips are so sexy, you guys should be looking at it, they’re so sexy and am liking them…(in a sensuous bedroom voice).

Which part of your body is the most sensitive to touch?

Ahahaaaaa…(lol) Tunde am not gonna say this, for obvious reasons noooo, am sorry am not gonna say it.

Are you planning to make your own movie soon?

Yes, am planning to make my own movie, hopefully this year, am going to be a producer, I’ve registered my company, so this year am sure am going to produce my first ever movie.

What do you look out for in a man?

Ummm…of course my man has to be funny, you know my job is so stressful and being a single mum and the only daughter in my family with all these guys around me, sometimes am stressed, sometimes am so pressured, you can’t do everything on your own as a woman you know, so I love funny guys, I want a guy who’ll make me laugh, just make me laugh, make me smile, make me happy, not too funny though, he has to be very funny.

How rich are you or better put what would you say you've achieved as an actor?

I’ve achieved a lot, knowledge, a lot of things about my country, a lot of things about other people’s country, I’ve achieved wisdom, I’ve learnt a lot, I’ve got to know how to handle life difficulties, I’ve got to know that life is not bed of roses and I think my greatest achievements is the fact that, if I want anything, no one can stop me but only God because, am so confident about me, I believe so much in myself, I am more ambitious, I am more detailed and of course the money, the cars make you comfortable but those I can really boast of is the knowledge and my self confidence that has boosted like…am 100% confident of myself. Its been nice sharing your time ElaYou’re most welcome, thanks so much Tunde.

Spanish Ambassador Celebrates World Book Day With Stage Performance

The Spanish High Commissioner in Nigeria, Ambassador Alfonso Barnuevo will be the host of honour at a stage performance, Rinconete y Cortadillo billed to hold this Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at the prestigious Transcorp-Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The stage performance, according to a release forwarded to this office from the embassy will see a non-governmental and non-profit making organisation, Jos Repertory Theatre group performing on stage, one of the epic stories written as a novel by an award winning Spanish literary icon, Miguel de Cervantes.

The event, the first of the Embassy of Spain in 2016, marks the 4th Centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes, the author of worldwide famous masterwork El Quijote, and the World Book Day.

Rinconete y Cortadillo is part of the Exemplary Novels written by Miguel de Cervantes and published in 1613, a period of troubled times, of crisis andsplendour, in which the Renaissance gave way to the Baroque. All these novels contain a moral contest and are aimed at entertaining while setting a good example. Rinconete y Cortadillo tells the story of two young men, Pedro del Rincón and Diego Cortado, Rinconete y Cortadillo, that meet and decide to go to Sevilla where they join a thief guild led by Monipodio.

The Jos Repertory Theatre is a non-profit, independent theatre organization which seeks to use theatre as a means of confronting and challenging crucial issues that affect our daily existence. It is a pleasure for the Embassy of Spain being able to work with them once more and to support the theatre

industry in Abuja.

''The Craziest Thing I've Done''-Talented Singer, Kessydreez

She's a daughter of a preacher but that's far from being an impediment for this daringly hot and adoringly sexy upcoming artiste who believe you have to zero-in on what you have to get what you need. "I know am smallish but mighty in appearance", she boasted. In the real sense of talent, petite and pretty R n B vocalist, Kessydreez  is just da bomb waiting to blow. You need to watch out for her. In this no hold bared exclusively interview, the Igbo born promising artiste confided in National Enquirer where she spoke bluntly on what you won't expect to hear. It's quite interesting and explosive:

What were the traits you saw in yourself that propelled you into music?

I noticed that each time I open my mouth to sing I impacts a positive feeling on my listeners, people feel blessed, lives are touched and connected to my music, then I took it to a professional level, though I started as a gospel singer.

If it hadn't been music, what will it have been?

If not for music by now I should be a broadcaster or a porn model, dunno why; I just love my body and I ain't afraid to flaunt it.

Tell us about your real name, education and family?

Am Mbonu Kessy Doris (KessyDriz), a graduate of Linguistics & Mass Communication from the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. I'm the 8th child in a family of 10,  my dad is a Preacher and mum a caterer.

Share that bad experience you faced while you were dying to make your first single?

The biggest challenge then was finance to push my first work out there and that was because I was still in school but still have huge passion for my music, secondly, it's a very difficult game when it comes to female artistes in the industry, you see people (opposite sex) wanting to help you with a huge condition tied to your neck.. if I can be so determined and strong enough to release my first single "Soldier Go" which gave me my first 3 Awards in different categories, I don't think I'm ready to give up now despite other challenges, I will conquer.

Artistes, especially the female ones are always at the mercies of music producers, tell us your story?

Lol well, I don't think there's any producer I can't work with, some producers are very stubborn while others have that patience to work with female artistes. Working with female artistes ain't the same as the male folks. You need a whole lotta patience and tactics to follow them because they can be emotional sometimes and hardly give in to criticism.

What genre of music do you play and what's the inspiration?

KessyDriz can be easily traced to RnB and highlife but as a musician I can still do other genre. My RnB songs are inspired by environments and happenings while my highlife songs are strictly happiness and love.

How supportive were your parents toward your musical career?

At first my parents didn't support me because it seemed to them that I was going astray but now they've started seeing things differently and have no choice but to support me in prayers.

You want to tell us about your virginity, are you still with the lucky guy or was your own story too the normal harassment from an older guy?

I lost my virginity to a guy everyone sees as a pastor. He deceived me and slept with me and that's my biggest reason for leaving gospel, I hardly trust gospel singers.

What exactly are your ultimate focus and reasons for being a musician?

No ultimate reason.. it gives me joy each time I entertain people and they really feel entertained.

Who's your godfather in the industry?

I don't have any godfather

And who's your crush?

My crush...hmmmmmm.. DJ Exclusive

What crazy thing(s) have you done as an artiste?

Crazy thing I've done? Uhmmm...I Had sex in the pool in broad day light.

What differentiates you from other female musicians?

Well, I'll say the only thing that differentiates me from others is the fact that I know I have a small stature and sexy and I know how to use my stature to my advantage unlike others who feel intimidated. If I appear at any function you have no choice but to notice my small stature presence, am small but mighty.

What will make you fulfil as a musician?

I can only be fulfilled when the world has said they've had enough of me. By then I should have my own empire with artistes signed under my label, in other words I should be seen as an "icon" or Legend.

What was the first artiste fee you got and what's your rating now.

The first fee I ever received was N13,000 years back but now I get paid well depending on the nature of the event, for instance, my last event during the Christmas, I was paid more than N300, 000 for a show and I see that as stepping up, it means am growing.

Which shows would you say are your biggest for now?

Uhmmm...my biggest show? I'll say the Port-Harcourt Carnival where I performed alongside Psquare, Wyclef, Patra, Phyno, Burna Boy etc. I also did the theme song for that event. Secondly, at Shell's end of the year party where I performed with Yemi Alade and Duncan Mighty. Again at the "Face of Democracy" at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja where I performed alongside Patoranking, Jawon, Niyola etc. I was also privileged to do "TheKingAndI " with Alibaba and Dan d Humorous, and "Pink Matter" with Victoria Kimani, Denrele  and also the Nigeria Most Wanted Model show. Others are the "Njiko Carnival with Charlie Boy and Friends to mention a few, these are the big events I did in 2015.

''What I'll Tell Buhari On A Chance Meeting'''-Theodora Ibekwe

She's terrifically industrious and doggedly result oriented; that's how best to introduce the good looking serial entrepreneur who has traversed quite a number of daring genres of the entertainment business. A trailblazer by all standard, Theodora Ibekwe-Oyebade is one of UK's visible players who hold sway as a movie producer as far as the black community is concerned. The dynamic lady who's a perfect prototype of a real African woman cut her teeth as a Teacher after her first degree in Nigeria before she opted to relocate to the Queensland in search of the proverbial greener pastures where she eventually evolved as a reference point in the show business world. In just few years of her involvement, the high profile Benin Chief has won many awards, ''I think am almost losing count but as at the last time, I've got 65 awards' plaques hanging in my house, all these are as a result of my goal-getting skills''. She told editor, Tunde Moshood in London recently how she's able to cope as a TV Presenter, actor, movie producer, publicist, script writer, brand ambassador of Chamy perfume, and CEO of Miss Elegant UK amongst other things.

Tell us the story of your HRM or is it HRH?

Ibekwe is my maiden name. I grew up in Benin and that's why I got the traditional title of Ada Ka Ibeya 1 with my husband, my family is from Owerri, Imo State. I met my husband, Ayo Oyebade, a few years ago and we both decided to have a secret wedding to avoid "spoilers" wrecking the ceremony.

You're a part of the Nollywood story in the UK, can you give us the script?

We have Actors Guild of UK Nollywood here and not yet affiliated with AGN. This is a work in progress. I am the founding President.UK Nollywood is a collection of filmmakers much like Nigeria. I can't give you a full history as I was not there at the commencement but I'm glad to be one of the trailblazers. There are Pioneers that I know and others that I don't. Prince Sam Anwuzia, the CEO of ZAFAA Global Awards and Director, Obi Emelonye have been in the industry for much longer. Each Producer does his/her best to raise the finance to produce their movies and lay on premieres to showcase their work.

How marketable are the films produced in the UK?

We have had some successes with our movies here. Shameful Deceit had some limited distribution worldwide. However, most films produced in UK Nollywood, on the face of it, have had no market.

Who're the major players in the movie industry here?

I would like to think I'm a big player but there are numerous others including Talking Drum Entertainment, whom are Distributors of Black Content; Director Obi Emelonye is the God Father; Ruke Amata, from the Amata Dynasty; Malcolm Benson of Benalex Media; Godwin & Helen Gold Osabutey; Tolulope Yesufu who scored a big hit with Murderer-in-Law; Philippa Chiedu Abraham, Writer/Producer/Director of the smash hit Basira in London; there is also the prolific Toyin Moore and, George Kelly Toghanro.

Why are established actors in Nigeria not always invited to spice and lift up your production in London?

We do realise that to get a good market in Nigeria we need a box office star to come over, however, funds are a problem. Producers have taken the opportunity to use some of the stars when they are over on holiday. If we had more financial support we would definitely bring over more stars.

What would you say is the biggest problem confronting the movie industry in the UK?

Needless to say, it's MONEY. We need sponsorship, we need grants, I dare say we need some of that pot of gold in the Bank of Industry made available to Nollywood. We have oodles of talent here and we would like to bring talent from Africa but we invariably have to use our own money. In my case, I had a sponsor and my now husband, Chief Ayo Oyebade also invested in Shameful Deceit. Others have to work on tighter budgets.

Can we have an insight into your background; education, family life and relocation to the UK?

I was born in Benin, grew up there with my parents and three siblings; went to Auchi Poly where I studied Education and taught for a while before going to Lagos to attend UniLag, to study Accountancy. I worked briefly at Water Parks, in Ikeja, Lagos State as a Resident Manager before deciding to come over to the UK.

If you have a chance meeting with President Buhari, what will your request be?

Hmmm... it would be a good thing to have a chance to chat with President Buhari. I was at a very short reception that he attended, in London, recently. As a UK based Producer, I would like to ask the President to set up a task force to look into the great work that UK Nollywood is doing, representing Nigeria and Africa in a positive light and, can we get access to the funds available for Nollywood.

What other things do you do aside movie production?

I started out as a TV Presenter; started organising talent shows and beauty pageants (I am the CEO of Miss Elegant International); I am a Promoter; a Publicist and; an Actress.

There was a time you a misunderstanding with Miss World Organisers, what really transpired?

The issue with Miss World was a storm in a teacup. It really was to do with branding. I called my global beauty pageant Miss Elegant World and the Miss World Organisers took exception. However, the matter was resolved

Are you planning to come home any time soon?

God willing, I will come over to Nigeria to shoot a movie later in the year or next year.
