actress Nuela Njubigbo has caused his marriage, dreadlocks wearing movie maker,
T-Chidi Chikere is according to fresh investigations entangled in another
mess. According to our grapevine, a
Europe based wealthy model identified as Vida is presently ready for a tug of
war with the director for allegedly wanting to swindle her of her hard earned
money. Our findings revealed that the lady who hails from Delta State, early
last year 2010 was in Nigeria to see the director whom she had earlier met in
Europe and had discussions with. She and the Tchidi, we gathered later met and
after series of meetings agreed to work together. It was revealed that Vida already had three
movie scripts and her money to run the production, so they agreed that he will
produce and direct the three films for her, while she will play roles in the
three films.
Things we learnt went smoothly in-between as the director produced and directed all the movies while she acted and got credit as executive producer. Trouble, we however gathered reared its head between these partners who have enjoyed good working relationship for many months after the three movies have been edited, premiered in Asaba, Delta State and ready for distribution. According to the information gathered, Vida is completely new in the industry and had no inkling of the proper people to contact for such deal. At the point when she needed a good distribution network and marketer to either buy her films or dispense them into the market, it was alleged that Tchidi who was supposed to connect her to a marketer as initially agreed suddenly assured her that he would distribute the movies into the market. This we further gathered led to the young showbiz babe to give the director an undisclosed sum of money for mass production of the CDs, printing of jackets, posters, censorship and other miscellaneous expenses as she is not always in the country and hence does not really know how much her movies are worth in terms of sales. This transaction we gathered took place over three months back and Vida is yet to hear from her producer, neither were any of her movies released into the market.
According to the source, anytime she calls Tchidi to enquire about the next action on the business, he would allegedly inform her that the distribution will commence in few weeks, while on other occasions his contacts will not be reachable. After waiting for many months, Vida we learnt reached him through another of his cell phone number and threatened to invite the police and legal practitioners into the issue if he refuses to be straight and do what they agreed. He was said to have pleaded with the model turned actress on phone and agreed that he will handle everything properly and be accountable to all financial aspect of the distribution. The source concluded that Tchidi’s humility and sweet words seem to have calmed down the battle temporarily as the lady is ready to be a little bit patient.
