Social
media enthusiast and Rhythm FM's OAP, Toke Makinwa might have gotten
her fingers burnt if information at our disposal is anything to go
by. The restless social networker who has just landed a robust
ambasadorial deal with a cosmetics company, Mecran is in trouble
alongside her client, the Mecran Cosmetics management.
According
to information available to National Enquirer, days after the
fashionable OAP was signed as Mecran's Ambassador, the lid has been
blown open that, the management of the Mecran company are fraud
afterall.
We
gathered reliably that, the company has stolen pictures of another
cosmetics brand, Whitenicious, passing it off as its success story
and this has pitched them against each other leaving Whitenicious
management to issue a discalimer on Toke and her client.
''Bubble
burst after a fan called Dencia's attention to a photo shared by
@Mecrancosmetics showing a success story from the use of the
Whitenicious product which she had shared weeks earlier, Dencia who
owns Whitenicious took to instagram to issue a disclaimer.
The
contents of the disclaimer read "It has come to our notice
that @tokemakinwa's company known as@mecrancosmetics is
stealing images of Whitenicious success stories and results to post
on their Instagram account and also send these images to their
customers via text, what's app and other SM platforms. This is a PSA,
please refrain from using any material and falsifying and erasing our
water mark, we aren't connected to any of these fake brands and we
will be suing you and your company if you keep stealing our images
and lying about it being yours,we own the rights to all our images as
this are from Whitenicious customers. If your products don't work
please don't lie to customers just find a way to make better
products.I understand your skin was lightened before you started
selling these meaning you have never used it to lighten your skin so
you need to steal images just don't steal them from Whitenicious.
Thanks for the tip @rarohlee.Management."
The
photo collage showing a hand in 3 phases of whitening had actually
been shared by the company's official handle and not Toke herself.
In
a swift reaction to safe face, Mecran management has come out to
exonerate their ambassador saying, it was a mistake from an
overzealous staff and has nothing to do with Toke who's not a member
of staff of Mecran.
