There’s one young, agile, and
skillfully talented star no one has noticed in the game of football, he’s a
London based Benin/Urhobo extract whose impressive track records as a dynamic
‘field merchant’ is second to none. Daniel Edokpayi’s knack for being
outstanding in his chosen career isn’t surprising anyway; the shining star must
be towing his mother’s path.
Daniel’s mum, Evelyn Obahor is one
of Nigeria’s brightest broadcasters of note with multiple awards and several
nominations to her credit in appreciation of her exemplary contributions as a
thoroughbred in the broadcast industry. The London based Evelyn Obahor is the
producer of the popular talkshow, JustEve, an interesting magazine programme
which enjoys international syndications in major TV stations (terrestrial and
Cable Stations) across the continents of Africa, America, Canada and soon to
debut in the Caribbean.
Daniel’s ageless pretty mum, Evelyn was
one of the pioneer staff that held sway with lots of fans teeming programmes at
the then Degue Broadcast Network-DBN Television owned by Osa Sunny Adun in
Lagos in the late 80s and early 90s.
Having identified his passion for
sports, the young Daniel who’s now 24 wasted no time to proceed to the
prestigious London Metropolitan University where he got trained and formally
equipped with an enviable degree in Sports Therapy.
The tall and handsome Daniel who
plays in the British Local League for Raynes Park Vane is so gifted and
versatile that he combines being a right/left winger and even right back
position for his club. Daniel who loves BMW cars has played in the same club
with the likes of Victor Moses, Wilfred Zaha, Sean Scanell among others when
they were much younger.
