Mrs.
Charis Onabowale, the owner of the leading confectionery company has been
fingered as one of those who abducted, Mrs. Toyin Ndiomu, the estranged wife of
Dr. Patrick Ndiomu and forcefully admitted her into Dr. Fari Psychiatric Hospital
in Surulere, Lagos.
On
Saturday, January 12, 2013, Toyin who had vacated her matrimonial home and
absconded with Pastor Chigbo Ndukwe of Jordan ministries, located on Opebi,
Ikeja area of Lagos was celebrating her 40th birthday in her new abode, 25,
Joel Ogunnaike St, G.R.A Ikeja when her hubby, Patrick and her mum, Mrs.
Florence Omotehinwa, Mrs. Charis Onabowale and some military men (Army and
Navy) seized Toyin and dragged her into a waiting car and zoomed off.
Toyin
was taken to Psycho Hosp
ital and was not allowed to be visited by anybody
except the mother. When the incident became a public issue, Toyin’s mother
claimed her daughter has been brainwashed by Pastor Chigbo Ndukwe of Jordan
Ministries, who she described as ocultic.
Mrs.
Charis Onabowale is the wife of late owner of Reddignton Hospital in Lagos and
cousin to Mrs. Omotehinwa, the duo is from Odo-Ere in Kogi State.
Omotehinwa
is the wife of late Admiral Olu Omotehinwa who was murdered on the street of
Lagos during late General Sani Abacha’s regime. The lady at the centre of the
kidnap saga, Toyin Ndiomu was initially married to Lanre Sarunmi. The union
collapsed after 3 years over accusation and counter accusation of infidelity.
Toyin’s
latest husband whom she ran away from is Dr. Patrick Denyefa Ndiomu, the son of
late General Charles Ndiomu.
The
55 year old Patrick Ndiomu is the Managing Director of Southfield Gas and Power
Limited. His company is behind the multi-billion dollars Utorogu and Oben Gas
Processing Plants in Edo State. Patrick is a bosom friend and business partner
of ex-governor of Delta State, James Ibori who is currently serving jail term
in a U.K prison after pleading guilty to corruption charges.
It
is speculated within circle of friends that Patrick Ndiomu is just a front for
Ibori and most of Ibori’s stolen wealth are in his custody. It is also on
record that Patrick signed the 600, 000 GBP bail bond of Ms. Uzoamaka, one of
ex-governor Ibori’s mistresses who was arrested in the U.K using a company
known as Bronwen Energy Trading UK Limited.
Though,
Toyin has been released from the Psychiatric home, we learnt that she now stays
with her mother. We were also told that it was Mama Cass owner that influenced
Toyin’s mother to kidnap her daughter in the first place and recommended the
Psycho home.
But
some of Toyin’s friends informed us that the lady is mentally stable and that
she ran out of her matrimonial home when she couldn’t endure the beatings and pummeling
her husband, Patrick always subject her to at the slightest provocation.
We gathered that Toyin’s mum is now working
hard to reconcile her daughter and the husband.
