The Yoruba section of the Nollywood
industry has come to terms with accepting and preaching homosexuality as a proper
way of life, a major crime that attracts 14 years imprisonment,. Notable Yoruba
actresses such as Lola Idije, Toyin Aimakhu and others are part of the
extremely excited artistes that welcomed self-styled gay-boy, Bobrisky as the
controversial ‘shemale’ takes a debut in a new flick, Ojuloge produced by Tayo
Shobola. The actresses are all so happy to act with ‘him/her’ as they
practically danced their hearts out at the movie location somewhere in Lagos. See
video after the cut:
The self-acclaimed king of snapchat,
Africa's first male Barbie doll, Okuneye Idris, notoriously known as Bobrisky,
has finally found his way into Nollywood. Information reaching us has it that
Bobrisky landed his first acting role in a Yoruba movie titled 'Ojuloge'. The
film features the likes of top Yoruba actress, Lola Idije, and was produced by
Tayo Shobola a.k.a Shotayo.
According to feelings in town, people
believe that, it can only be Yoruba movie practitioner that can come to terms
with such mediocrity owing to their history of inferiority complexes. With such
disturbing development, one is forced to ask if the industry has become so
porous, to the extent of celebrating a notorious queer personality of Bobrisky
standing who ostentatiously promotes
homosexuality, a crime under our constitution which has a 14 years jail term
status.
Without exaggerating, we would agree
that the infamous 'she-male' Bobrisky has caused too many controversies in
recent times, especially when he opted to go get his buttocks enlarged, in the
United States, and even went ahead to shamelessly post it on social platforms
like instagram and Facebook, calling on whoever cared to listen, to pray for
him to have a successful surgery!
It is therefore disheartening for the
'Yoruba movie industry, to celebrate such show of shame by encouraging the
gender-confused professional prostitute has he addresses himself. The
Yoruba movie industry is known to churn out most of the worst movies ever,
which is understandable because of the huge numbers of charlatans, parading
themselves in that sphere as professionals. However, this goes a long way to
show the level of decadence, and portends imminent danger for the future of not
just the industry, but also stakeholders and consumers.
As expected, people in the know are
of the opinion that, the producer of the movie will do anything for money as
tongues have been wagging on the true sources of the income of the fabulously
wealthy actress who boasts of one of the high tech production companies amongst
her peers.
The producer of the yet to be
released movie, is one of the richest Yoruba actresses, and we shall be waiting
for her latest effort which we shall review elaborately.
