There
has been civil unrest at the popular Ogba Retail Market in the
outskirts of Ojodu, Lagos where shop owners threw caution to the wind in
protest of the alleged demolition of the market place.
According
to sources, trouble started when the Iyaloja, one Alhaja Ganiyat Abebi
Kasumu announced the demolition plans and ordered shop owners yo cough
out a whopping N5m for re-purchase.
Tabloid TV team met with concerned parties where they spoke exclusively to the Iyaloja and the aggrieved traders.
Efforts
to speak to the developer was abortive but plans are underway to
crosscheck from the local government chairman, Mr. Oloro and also the
state government.
