NTDC Boss, Runsewe, Wife Get Titles In Itapa-Ekiti

The Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe and his beautiful wife, Adekunbi have been conferred with the traditional titles of Akorewolu and Eyeowa of Itapa-Ekiti, Ekiti State respectively adding to the list of feathers high flying DG has enjoyed.

 Receiving the titles from His Royal Majesty, Oba David Makanjuola Ajaja at the Methodist School field, Itapa last Saturday, the DG expressed his delight at the honour informing the crowd that the royal father is a great ambassador of his people having worked at the NTDC and retired as a Deputy-Director of the Planning Research and Statistics department before he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

 Otunba Runsewe who is also the Danburan Kabbi of Argungu extolled the Kabiyesi`s virtues saying, “He is a very committed and dependable individual” just as he averred that coming to Itapa has given him a firsthand experience of the hospitality of Ekiti people.

The NTDC boss and Obiagwu one of Ndigbo declared that Oba Makanjuola following his ascension to the throne has made Itapa Kingdom a household name in Nigeria observing that the people of Ekiti are making a strong statement in the country with the abundance of academics and professionals of which the monarch represents.

 Runsewe who is also a recipient of another traditional title, Jarman Ibi in Taraba State revealed that it was the first time he will be taking a traditional title with his wife while promising to be part of the developmental projects in the community.

On his part, HRM Oba Makanjuola could not hide his excitement and gratitude saying, “I want to show my gratitude to the revered personality of the chairman of this historic occasion in the person of the DG, NTDC Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, your positive thoughts towards Itapa at all times and your noble intensions towards Kabiyesi Owatapa is just unquantifiable”, the traditional extolled.

Adding, “I pray for you that you and your wife will bask in the joy, happiness and glory of the chieftaincy titles you will be taking in Itapa today forever in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen). Itapa appreciates you indeed and we are very grateful”

The event was graced by high-profile personalities including top government officials, politicians, business men and several Royal fathers.

Other traditional titles previously bestowed on the NTDC helmsman include the Balogun Yoruba of Abuja and Olumayegun of Okun land.

Why Am Taking A New Wife-Hon. Rotimi Makinde

A member of the lower House of the National Assembly representing Ife federal constituency, Hon. Rotimi Makinde has come out to defend  his decision to take a new wife, Oyebanke Oyelami, a final year student of political science from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State after waiting for a while.

The young and dynamic legislator who was a movie actor, producer, auto dealer, hotelier and an accountant at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC before joining politics recently stepped out with beautiful Oyebanke, the reigning Miss Osun State and this has started generating controversy in some quarters as some bad belles have said the man dumped his first wife for the beauty queen.

According to him in a recent chat with your darling magazine, National Enquirer, “there are things people don`t know and instead of minding their business, they meddle into other people`s privacy, as a matter of fact, I recognize the fact that am a public figure by my present position as a lawmaker but I also know that some facts must be put straight for future purposes”, he stressed.

Speaking further, the lawmaker who has been adjudged as one of the best in South West going by his impressive track records and various projects that have touched many lives has this to say, “naturally it is not in my habit to discuss my family especially my wife who bore me my grown up kids but just for the records, people need to know that my wife has left me ever before I got elected into the federal house of representatives and I`ve since given her the benefit of doubt for reconciliation but all were to no avail, hence my decision to move ahead and not without the consent of my children”, he explained.      

Answering  question on the interest in the new liaison, the lawmaker who has just been given a chieftaincy title of Bobagunwa of Ila Orangun by the royal father, Oba Bolarinwa said what interest him in his new wife is that, she is the first ever lady that will call his bluff despite his status, “can you believe that, it took me a while to chase this lady, I have never her rare type before, that’s why I didn’t waste any time when she eventually gave me the chance because I need to proof to her that, I mean serious business”, he told.

The duo recently had an introduction and will be walking down the aisle very soon.       

Oyo Gov`s Daughter In Murder Scandal!...In Alleged Complication In Ex Lover`s Death

The daughter of the executive governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Abiola Ajimobi, Bisola is at present enmeshed in an alleged murder controversy involving her ex-lover, Adeola Randoph who died early this year. And from family sources, it has taken this long to discover Bisola`s alleged involvement in the sudden death of this youngman because the Ajimobis were said to have allegedly been pressing buttons to sweep the case under the carpet.

This office gathered reliably that, Bisola now a married woman was said to have sneaked into the flat of her ex-lover without the consent of her husband the previous night to his death, although, the deceased was asthmatic, sources including the gateman at the Magodo home of the amiable young man disclosed that, Bisola sneaked in the evening and left in the wee hours of the fateful day, only to discover that, the man, Adeola gave up the ghost the second morning after the strange visit.  What a coincidental and unfortunate visit you would say.

Unconfirmed report has it that the daughter of the Oyo state Governor Gov Ajimobi, Bisola though now married to the son of respected Nigerian businessman, Chief  Kola Daisi, Kolapo has some explanation to make concerning the death of  Adeola Randolph her ex lover who died in a mysterious way on the wee hours of 7th of Febuary 2012. Though there are rumours that the deceased, a staff of a company based in Abuja called-PetroEnergy and graduated from the Coventry University in the UK had an attack at home in the early hours of the fateful day and was rushed to the hospital where he later gave up the ghost, some have said Governor Ajimobi’s daughter and Personal Assistant might have some explanations to make.

The pretty mother of one according to family sources was said to be the last person with the deceased as she allegedly sneaked into the country from the UK to Adeola’s Magodo home on the 6th of Febuary 2012 a night before the deceased passed on though didn’t spend the night there. 

Adeola and Bisola we authoritatively scooped were lovers known to families and friends until the relationship crashed due to accusations of infidelity on both parties especially Bisola  and other issues before she later got married to Chief Kola Daisi`s son in an elaborate wedding on the 5th of November 2010 in Ibadan.

The late Adeola, a popular student of the Atlantic Hall, Ikoyi who just acquired a Range Rover SUV and Bisola were said to still be in love as they secretly rekindled their affair from ordinary to seeing each other secretly. This we gathered explained the reason Adeola invited Bisola over though they both agreed to be extra careful and thus her reason for leaving his place that night, those who were aware of the his health conditions vowed that, Adeola was hale and hearty on that night and also had enough inhalers to attend to himself. What is causing the eyebrow is the reason behind the strange visit of the Governor’s daughter who`s a married woman the night before, they`ve ceased to stop talking about it.

In our facts finding mission, we got in touch with one of the aides of the State`s First lady for their own side of the story, the lady however promised to get back to us having pleaded to temper justice with mercy on the story.

Whilst we were still expecting her response, she however tried to network by finding a way of getting in touch with our editor who has been out of the country through another powerful source, just in order to stem the story, she did present the matter as if we have been on her neck but our editor sent back the middle man for them to react officially to the story but we never heard from them till we went to press.

Jide Omokore Arrested In France With Presidential Jet

  Information reaching us had it that French law enforcement officers detained a private jet conveying a Nigerian businessman, Jide Omokore, in Paris recently. Mr. Omokore is one of President Goodluck Jonathan’s closest business associates. The Abuja-bound plane had arrived in Paris from Monaco. A French police source who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity disclosed that the plane was detained for two days. The source did not disclose the make and model of the jet nor the exact date the aircraft was detained, but disclosed that the private jet was detained as part of an investigation into its ownership. Even though the source refused to reveal more, stating that further disclosure could compromise their investigation, a source in Abuja told us that French authorities seemed interested in finding out if the jet belonged to a Nigerian official. The Abuja source stated that Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke may be the focus of the French investigation. We were told that the detained jet was flying Mr. Omokore and two women when it was impounded for two days. The jet was later released and was then flown back to Nigeria with Mr. Omokore on board. The name of the Kogi-born Jide Omokore has featured prominently in the recent fuel subsidy scandal that rocked the Nigerian economy. In Abuja circles, he is well known as a front man for President Jonathan and Petroleum Minister Alison-Madueke.

 

My Controversies, My Man, My War With Fellow Actresses-Yvonne Nelson

The name Yvonne Nelson is synonymous with the Ghanaian movie industry. The wonderful role interpreter debuted as an actress few years ago and has over time become one of the hottest female stars in Africa. Now a producer with two fantastic movies to her credit. In a recent chat with Enquirer’s Faith Irabor, Yvonne talked about movies, her lifestyle, alleged romance with Iyanya as well as other controversies that rocked her lately. Enjoy the interesting session.

 You no doubt have a very beautiful skin, can you share your beauty routine with us?

 (Laughs)Thank you. The funny thing is I just stay away from the sun, you know people go like you always getting lighter or whatever (referring to the rumour of her bleaching) when you see someone who is bleaching, I’m sure you can tell so I try as much as possible to stay away from the sun, I use Palmers and  I've been using the product for many years now.

 Say precisely when?      

 Yeah, I have been on Palmers for about 8 years now, the thing is, if you stick to one body lotion and don`t keep changing, it will eventually yield a bigger result than what you have in mind.

 Let`s talk about the rumour, how did you feel when you first read it?

 Well what can you do about it, you know people saying negative stuff for talking sake, they say false stuff all the time but I came out with a statement telling my fans the real situation of things.

 Another one that is also rocking you at the moment is your rumoured affair with Nigerian act Iyanya and what gave credence to the gist is the leaked beach pictures of both of you, did you deliberately release the pictures for stunt reasons or are you guys really dating?

 No (laughs) Iyanya is a friend of mine. Yeah we had pictures together but I don’t know how the picture went out but it's not a bad picture, I don’t mind if anybody sees that picture. I am not dating Iyanya.

 Then why is your name the most mentioned in his latest song titled, "Your Waist" and how does that also makes you feel?

 He is a friend of mine I think we are all Africans he did a song for African ladies, he mentioned Tonto too not only me. Though I will ask him why mine was the most mentioned when I see him (laughs)

 A lot people see you as arrogant and snobbish, why is this so?

 Ok I will tell you what it is and I say it all the time, yeah I think it has to do with my movies because 80% of the movies I have done, I always play a rude girl, I think I’m always type casted I’m always playing a rude, bad girl whatever, so people are just used to that. But I am not snobbish as you can see now.

 Which means I am not the first person to tell you?

 Oh I`m used to it! You can`t go to everybody`s house and explain to them I`m like this or that so I`m just used to it.

 Can you still remember how you entered the Ghanaian movie industry and which movie shot you to limelight?

 Yeah, it was right after I contested for  Miss Ghana.  I did Miss Ghana in 2005.

 Did you win?     

 No, I was among the last 5, I won 2 awards out of 5 awards, if I had won Miss Ghana I wouldn’t be here now. (laughs)

 Which was your first movie?

 My first movie was "The Return of Beyonce" and my second movie really shot me out, that’s where everybody got to know who Yvonne Nelson is, the movie is titled "Princess Tara" yeah.

 You were also Mercy Johnson`s Chief Bride's Maid at her wedding, how close are you to Mercy?

 Mercy is a friend of mine and a colleague, I love her, so I feel honoured to be chosen as her Chief Bride'smaid.

 When we heard the news a lot of people felt you would disappoint her?

 No! No! Mercy is very dear to me, I love her, I love her work, you know she is very talented and she told me about it, when she told me I thought she was joking with me, you know and I was like wow I`m honoured, I will be honoured to be a part of your wedding, I was very happy.

 I read an interview of you after the wedding that you said this has really made you feel like getting married but it`s over a year now and nothing has been heard?

 Yeah, you`re right. The wedding made me look into my life like oh my goodness my friends are now married, I believe it's God that knows the right time and I will settle down.

 The right time? how old is Yvonne?

 I`m in my 20`s, late twenties to be precise.  

 For real?

 Yeah late 20s

 So what`s your educational background?

 As at now I have a degree in Human Resource Management, I finished at the Central University College, it`s the first private University in Ghana and I`m thinking of doing law some time soon. I don`t know if I will get the time but I want to do law and my mum also wants me to do law.

 What are the challenges that come with this job and how do you cope with it?

A lot of challenges for example you just talked about bleaching, talk about this and that, so all of these are enough challenges.

 And how do you manage the different controversies that tend to rock you every now and then?

 Just be focus whatever they are saying ignore it, be focus do what you are doing, be hard working and prove everybody wrong; like now I produced 2 movies. One with Majid Michel and the second one with Chris Arthur titled Single & Married. The movie is really doing well in Nigeria you know, even in the cinemas.   There was an alleged ban some time back you know, so I came back really hard and I produced this movie, this movie is doing so well and it`s actually the best we premiered in Ghana. We had the best premiere ever this year in Ghana, so I thank God people came out to support me and I thank God it`s doing really well. The bottom line is I don`t allow all the controversies to distract me in my career because I am a focused person.

So what`s your relationship with your colleagues in the industry especially the female ones because we gathered that you are not in talking terms with most of them?

Like you said we are all colleagues you know so you don`t have to be friends, you don`t have to call actresses and say eh let`s go party or whatever but when it comes to work; if we are suppose to work, we do our work and we go our separate ways, I`m ok with most of them you know and I even featured Nadia Buhari in my second movie. I wouldn`t have casted Nadia Buhari in my movie at all if I have issues with her or any of them.

 I must commend your enviable curves! But seriously what do you do to keep in shape?

Thank you. Just lost a couple of kilos, I do a lot of exercise at least maybe like 3 times a week and I try to stay away from too many fatty foods.

 Are you in a relationship?

 Yeah I am

 Is the person a Nigerian?

 I can`t disclose that (laughs) I`m in a relationship.

 When do you intend settling down?

 Soon I don`t know when but soon.

 And what was the attraction for you?

 Ok, I don`t look out for anything in particular, I don`t look out for physique, I don`t look out for a tall guy or light skinned guy or whatever, if I like someone you know it`s just a natural thing you can`t explain it when you like someone.

 So what do you consider the embarrassing moment you can`t forget in a hurry in the course of your job?

 Yeah. Okay I will go like, any time I make mistake on set! Oh my God!

 Have they per chance left the part un-edited  when releasing any film?

 No! No! I always correct myself but because people are there and they are always watching it you know they expect you to be so perfect you know when you make mistake I go like oh “there I go again”.

 Where do you see the brand Yvonne Nelson in the next 5 years?

 Producing, acting up and doing more.

 Married?

 Yeah of course with a baby by then!
