Indian Doctors` Shocker! 1st Lady Dying of Tapeworm Infection

There`s this popular saying that, poverty don’t ever kill but riches do. That’s exactly the situation with one of the wives of a Nigerian governor who`s presently biting her fingers for looking for comforter when she`s comfortably off.
It is a story of the First Lady of Cross Rivers State, Obioma Liyel-Imoke who`s said to be dying of an infection caused by tapeworm ingested in her system by some Indian specialists 2 years ago during one of her adventures to cut her size.
It would be recalled that, the wealthy woman who owns the popular ValueMart in Victoria Island, Lagos was a size 18 before her husband became the governor of Cross Rivers State and no sooner the handsome man was sworn in than the wife, Obioma began shopping for suitable specialist hospital abroad where she could burn excess fat and reduce her size drastically to allow her compete probably with girls in the range of 12-14.
And alas! The First Lady made a fantastic appearance when she walked majestically on stage in 2010 during her speech on the debut ceremony of the Calabar festival which was held in Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, she was really looking dashing in a lovely size 14 gown, her cute and lovely physique was no doubt the subject of the day amongst society ladies in attendance as they were all marveled at the mystique behind her reduction from size 18 to 14.
She has since then dazzled in several events turning heads with her skin which is always festooned in expensive ornaments like diamond, gold and the likes coupled with top of the range designer wears, bags, wrist watches and what have you.

Two years down the line, we gathered reliably that the First Lady allegedly began to emaciate, at first, she was enjoying it as she was even said to be preparing to shop for a smaller size before bubble burst recently.
Dependable sources who`re feeling the First Lady`s pulse have disclosed that, the woman is not finding it funny as she now suffers pain in her bone marrow and some of her joints, this was what eventually informed her decision to go back to the hospital in Indian where she heard the shocking news of her life.
According to inside sources, the doctors were said to have been so mad at the First Lady for refusing to keep to instructions after her liposuction surgery in 2010. We were reliably informed that, the First Lady had been asked to come back in 3 months after the Tapeworm had been ingested into her system because the parasite was only meant to burn fat in her bowel for some months after which the treatment continues but the moment the First Lady saw the wonder of the blade, she forgot to go back to complete her treatment. We however tried to get in touch with the people we know at the Cross Rivers State Government House but the response we got is that the Governor has changed everybody on that beat and the new people are not on ground yet. Our source who`s very close to the First Lady has promised to keep informing us as events unfold.

Funmi Adenmosun-Bank Chief Who`s A Serial Scammer Gets EFCC Immunity

Poverty of goods, they say is easily cured but poverty of the mind is irreparable. This aptly describes the story you`re about to read. It is a story of a high profile financial expert whose track records would have attracted the phrase `of great repute` had he not allegedly soiled his hands in various dubious financial rackets.

Funmi Adenmosun`s name is not new in the clique of financial scammers, in fact as at the last rating, the former director of Bank PHB (now Keystone) is atop the scale for his expertise in serial financial manipulations, little wonder he is one of the prominent allies of the bank`s erstwhile boss, Francis Atuche who`s standing trial in a celebrated case of conspiracy and stealing in a Lagos high court presided over by Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo.

Aside the Francis Atuche`s case which is presently witnessing a tough legal redress, Funmi Adenmosun is involved in a number of other sharp financial practices of which he has been dragged severally to the EFCC offices both in Abuja and Lagos but people in the know have come out to say he has bought over the powers that be in EFCC and that his case files have even been burnt.

By qualification, Funmi Adenmosun would have been one of Nigeria`s best in financial practice going by the level of his intelligence and steadfastness, but those who have encountered the sting of the quiet and easy going banking guru will not forget in times close by.

A fulfilled banker by all standard, one time director of Bank PHB, Vice Chairman of Investment & Allied Assurance Company (IAAC) and above all, Chief Executive Officer of numerous blue chip companies such as, H.T Real Estate Limited, Home Trust Savings & Loans Limited, H.T Asset Management Limited, Coral BDC Limited and Greenwich Trust Limited, the man who`s supposed to be working the street of Lagos freely now goes about in bodyguards, police escort and other security personnel due to his antecedents.

Weeks ago, precisely on Friday, August 17th, 2012 during the superlative burial of his mum, Elder Mrs. Adeline Olufolake Adenmosun aged 82, we learnt the banking guru had to force family members to consider Abalti Barracks on Western Avenue, Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos for the entertainment of guests because he knows that none of those he has swindled will be able to embarrass him in the full glare of soldiers.

Xraying some of his stock in trades, Funmi Adenmosun we gathered reliable allegedly deceived one Mr. Dickson Aiyeola of Golden Treasure Investment Limited that by virtue of his several companies and track records as financial expert of international standing, he is licensed to transact banking and foreign exchange business, this, the source told us further was what gave credence to the transaction as the unsuspecting Dickson who needs to get foreign currencies for some of his clients paid a whopping sum of N108, 744, 080 (One Hundred and Eight Million, Seven Hundred and Forty Four Thousand and Eighty Naira Only) to Adenmosun`s H.T Real Estate Limited Account via bank drafts in return for $921,560 (Nine Hundred and Twenty One Thousand, Five Hundred and Sixty Dollars) within 7 days of payment.

As you read this, there have been several victims of hypertension and high blood pressure due to the veracity of this dupe as those who lost monies are now living in penury, most of them who`re mothers and bread winners trading in Swiss lace materials do not have any means of business anymore while Mr. Adenmosun walks freely without justice for the past months and years.
Dickson Aiyeola is not the only one who fell for the trick of the serial scammer, Matthew Oluese, an upcoming stock broker and forex expert also got hook, line and sinker going by Funmi Adenmosun`s background as an investment banker, Matthew` who runs Landmark Bureau De Change is at present standing trial over a matter he knows nothing about.

According to his story, Matthew had paid over N140m (One Hundred and Forty Million Naira Only) via bank draft to Adenmosun`s account in return for $960,000 (Nine Hundred and Sixty Thousand Dollars) but since then, he has not even seen a kobo and his clients who`re influential traders in Oke Arin market, Lagos Island have taken the matter to the high and mighty.
What an irony you would say, when Matthew was dragged to the EFCC office, he saw it an opportunity for justice, at least the man with whom the money was paid with facts, figures and documents is also in EFCC but alas, super Adenmosun is not just freed, his file is nowhere to be found, we learnt the former boss of the anti graft agency, Farida Waziri allegedly gave a standing order that no one should touch him and to stamp her order, she allegedly took her time to pack Adenmosun`s file along with her when she was eased of her enviable job.
And just as we were about filing our reports on Adenmosun`s serial scam came a shocking revelation of Alhaji Danladi, a popular Bureau De Change dealer in Lagos who lost almost N1billion to this same man who lavished lots of millions for the final burial of his mum 3 weeks ago. To Alhaji Danladi, Adenmosun is only buying time, he has however promised to get his other colleagues who`re also victims of Adenmosun`s sharp practices to talk to us in what they termed a bombshell chat.
In our facts finding mission, we did seek Adenmosun`s side of the story by putting a call through to him to tell us what he knows in all the allegations, the smart man courteously answered, “please text me your details, name, media house and address”, he then promised to send his media consultant to file his own side of the story, the next day, a certain Prince called us, he claimed to be a journalist and introduced himself as his (Adenmosun`s) media manager. Is this the editor of Enquirer? Yes sir, good day, how may we help you. Okay good, my name is Prince, I have my client`s instruction to talk to you on the story you spoke to him about, please how can I see you? You can see me in my office sir (we gave him our office address the second time).
The next day, Prince called again asking us to meet him somewhere in an eatery and we told him it`s not possible, it`s an official matter, we don`t meet in an eatery for official matters. The third day he called us that, his client asked him to give us N30,000 for lunch, it was at this junction that we began to suspect the Prince as part of Adenmosun`s scam syndicate.
In a swift reaction, we did ask him some questions after his offer: Prince thank you so much sir, please what are your real names? Am Prince (he giggled on phone), though am not a royal Prince o, am Prince sha, people call me Prince, okay Prince what, where are you from, where do you work, which Newspaper or magazine or are you in the broadcast genre of the media? No o, am not in the broadcast, am in the media don’t worry, just don’t worry, please help me with the N30,000 for the lunch, I`ll make it up to you later as a colleague.
With all this, we began to be apprehensive, we told him to come to our office but he insisted that we send him an account details- another dubious antics to access even our own account. The next day, he sent us a text message, “Hi Tunde, good morning sir, pls I`ve been on hospital admission for a week now. Pls txt ur account details so dat I can arrange for deposit of 50k into account. I promise to see you once I get well. Thanks-Prince”.
The story has just begun.

My Guiding Principle To Choosing A Man-NADIA BUARI

Nadia Buhari is any reporter’s delight any day. Quite humble and receptive, the beautiful Ghanaian tube goddess was our guest the other when News Editor, Faith Irabor encountered her at the movie premiere of Zero To Hero at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos where she spoke on her new slim-figure, family and what she looks for in a  man. It’s sure an interesting interview.
You look so trimmed, Can you tell us what’s responsible for this?
Yeah, I have been doing a lot of exercise lately though it’s kind of stressful and hectic and I concentrate more on what I eat unlike before.
What informed the change of shape, you seem to have lost the curves and figures now!
There was a movie I wanted to be part of, when I read the script I immediately thought of trimming my shape in preparation even though I wasn’t forced.
What’s the name of the movie?
Sadly, it didn’t come out, besides I remember waking up one morning and trying to test a beautiful dress of mine, but shockingly it didn’t fit and I felt really so bad when am fitting it, so I hated myself, I knew I have gone so fat then.
When last did you fit into the dress before deciding to trim for it again?
When I was starting my career, it was a while back and I really like the dress and wanted to save it for a special day, so when I put myself into the dress and didn’t fit into it I was like hell no, I need to get back to the way my physical appearance was before now, you know, the way I was before, though it was the movie that motivated me the more, I felt I have gained a lot of weight and I was so concerned, so I decided to lose it.
You talked about when you were starting your career, when was that and what movie would you say gave you the breakthrough?
I remembered that I had my first audition when I was in my first year in the University, I actually heard about the auditioning from a friend and I will say I am one of the fortunate ones in the industry because I was the lead in that movie though I can’t remember the title, and I also played lead in the second one and then the phone calls kept coming and the rest like they say is history.
Don’t you think your skin colour contributed to it?
No, I honestly don’t think so because we have the dark actresses over there that are like huge and major and it’s not necessarily the complexion.
Then how true is it that you have a bit of Nigerian blood in you?
Hmmm…. Yes my father has a bit of Nigerian blood in him.
Which part of Nigeria?
(Laughs) I really can’t say but I think Yoruba, am not sure and if I must say it’s an honour to even have a part of Nigerian blood in me and to be a mixed.
How was growing up like for you?
Yeah, growing up was awesome, I had a great childhood.
What to you are the challenges of being a star actress?
The first thing is, it’s time consuming, then your privacy is a little bit taken away from you because you live your life in the public eyes and more so one have to be very careful of the things he or she do because people tend to criticize the things you do.
Can Nadia share who the lucky man in her life is with us and again what’s your current relationship with Chelsea player Michael Essien who has been reported on several occasions to be your man?
(Loud laughter) that’s funny, in fact very funny. Your question is funny.
But I am serious!
You are serious about what, if I am in a relationship?
Yes and if it’s also altar bound?
Hmmmm… can you please ask another question.
Ok who’s your ideal man and the qualities you look out for in him?
I always say that there’s no such thing as a perfect guy. I might have a whole lot of check lists of who I wanted my ideal man to be but you can’t have it all because I have my flaws, you have your flaws and so also does everyone have his or her fault and we can’t be perfect but there is one thing I look out for. That is the ultimate principles of truth, he has to be an honest person because you can’t be with the person you can’t trust and you can’t put your life in the hand of a person you can’t trust! So I always believe in the ultimate principles of trust. But sincerely I have a whole lot of check list which are sometimes still real and sometimes mere fiction, yes I sometimes pray he needs to be this, he needs to be that but I have come to realize you can’t have it all.
How would you rate the Ghanaian movie industry compared to some years back?
Over ten, I’ll give it five because we’ve come a long way and the remaining five also means that we still have a long way to go.
So what are the things you suggest they do to achieve this?
Yeah they have to, or maybe we ought to have a lot of funds and Government support because if we have funds we will do a lot of good movies otherwise our attitude towards work won’t be the way it’s supposed to be. Then there has to be a priority and by this I mean we need to go to school to learn and not say because we are actors, we can automatically be whoever and a whole lot of things, that’s why I just have to give it five because we are there but still have a long way to go.
What’s your educational background?
Let’s just say I actually school up to the university level, I am a graduate of the University of Ghana.
Would you mind telling us your age?
(Laughs) I can’t tell you, a woman never tells her age.
What’s your beauty secret because you’ve got a very good skin!
Honestly, I take care of myself because as a celebrity, my body is my brand so I need to take good care of it. As a celebrity, one needs to exercise, you won’t believe that I was never a fan of exercise until I saw the result and also it’s necessary to do a lot of dieting. You don’t eat junks, I was actually in love with junk foods but I had to cut it and I’ve also cut my calories now, I eat more fruits and salad and drink lots of water. Like I said, I am like this because of a movie I produced. It’s a movie about a drug addict and there is still more to go but I don’t want to scare people, I mean I don’t want to come out and people would be like Oh my God! (General laughter).
What is your relationship with other Ghanaian actresses because it’s assumed that there is a serious power tussle between you ladies?
I have a very good relationship with them, I work with them.
But we learnt Nadia and Jackie Appiah don’t talk to each other?
I don’t have any beef for anyone; I think people just want to make up stories.
Who are your favourite actresses in the movie industry here in Nigeria and Ghana?
In Nigeria I don’t have favourite I just have people I admire but I won’t mention their names but in Ghana I would say myself!
What would you like to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered as the girl who took the movie industry in my country to the international level. And that’s the reason why I don’t like to talk about my relationship, I want the world to know of my works, I just want to promote my works because it’s what I love to do and it’s my passion and so I don’t want to be talking about my private life because I am not selling my relationship but the brand Nadia. In years to come, I want to see myself as the girl who took the Ghana movie industry to another level. I want to leave a legacy and not just doing acting for a living and years to come I want my children to commend on the works mum did.
You just talked about children, can you tell us about the rest of your folks and where they are?
Yeah, I am from a family of five and I am the first.
So where are the rest?
This is one, she pointed to a young dark guy by her side).
Waoh! What does he do?
He’s the third and a musician and it’s even his first time here in Nigeria. He already has a single which is like a hit in Ghana, he ‘s in Nigeria to see how and what opportunity Nigerian blossoming entertainment market can offer and that’s why I came with him. Our second born is in Los Angelis, USA where’s he’s schooling while the fourth and fifth are both in Ghana with our parents.

Tomboyish Nature Is My Default Setting-BOUQUI

She’s one of the very first set of Nigeria’s female rapper, most especially in the gospel genre. That’s Bukola Afolayan a.k.a Bouiqi, a talented daughter of a University Professor who prides herself as a Christian Rapper. The stylish musician who has been out of the circulation for quite a while told Faith Irabor the reason for her absence and also spoke on some of her ideals and principles of God. In the same interview, she informed her fans to watch out for her next album, a 20-tracker which her management is still struggling to sort out.
Hello Bukky how come it’s been a while since we heard of you?
Yeah, I went on my world tour and just got back.
Interesting, can you tell us about it?
Yeah, I did fifteen states in America, thirty two cities in Europe and five states in Canada and I must confess it was a pretty hectic time for me but I am back now and as a matter of fact I just finished recording my third Album.
What about it?
Oh well, it’s going to be titled the Marks of a General and we have twenty tracks though we are trying to see if we can drop fourteen, we are like where do we put the remaining six and we are thinking of doing a double CD so we are basically just trying to sort things out. We are also planning an album release party to that effect.
And when is that going to be?
Well, I can’t tell you for now but we are definitely going to do it before the end of the year.
What about the speculation that you’ve relocated?
(Laughs) ah! To where? No way except if it’s by marriage of which I don’t see that happening yet.
Why?
Because anything can happen tomorrow and then you’d say oh but she said this or that, so I just leave things for God to do but basically we are working on my next album for now.
But are you in a relationship and when do you intend settling down?
Let’s just say I will be settling down when God says the time is right.
What church do you attend?
I attend Day Star Christian Centre.
Can you quickly let us into your educational background?
Yeah, I and the rest of my siblings all went to school in Ife even my father was a Professor in Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. I went to Ife Staff Primary School, Moremi secondary also in OAU, School of Science all in OAU because of my father but I decided to take it farther. I did Broadcasting at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) training school here in Lagos as well as an online course so I am a certified Broadcaster.
When did you discover your talent in music?
I would say music discovered me.
When?
Well, I was born into a musical family, my father was an organist in his church as a youth and my mum too was a singer so by defaults, we were born into a musical family.
And professionally?
Well, my brother was a rapper and I remember I was twelve years old then. I saw him rapping at a concert and I was like “this is so awesome!” So I wrote my first rap at age 12 and went to his room to tell him and he was like abeg abeg(laughs). He said it was whack and I said to myself that I was going to show him that I could rap but you see, determination over time turned into something that I like with his help and so here we are.
So will you say your choice of music contributed to your tomboyish nature, from your dressing to the way you talk and even your look?
(Laughs)  I honestly don’t know o, maybe it’s my default setting.
What about your hair which is more like your trademark how did you come about it?
I think it’s just consistency. Funnily it was my stylist Bobby’s Signature that created it years back and we’ve been able to maintain the look over time.
What do you do to stay in shape because you rarely gain weight?
Thanks, my weight actually fluctuates, I add and I lose but I try not to eat too late even though I break it sometimes and I don’t really eat the things that would make me grow fatter than I am, like fatty foods and above all I work out.
Don’t you feel threatened by the new female faces who seem to be taking over the industry compared to when you just started that we had very few of you?
I am still who I am and I will remain who I am as far as I keep being myself because it’s not a competition. What brings people to the good stage they are is actually what they have to offer, so if you have quality stuff to offer, all you need to keep doing is, re-evaluating over time, you don’t need to be agitated and say oh my God this is this. What it means is that I am just re-inventing myself and as per musically, I will try as much as possible to adapt to all the new sounds that are in town even though I basically might not like it, it’s not for me per se, it’s for my people and that’s what they want to hear. One thing we musicians should know is our target audience and then you give them what they want to hear in the right way, do you understand.
You’re a gospel artiste, right? But would you favour a collabo with secular artiste for a good pay?
Well that’s a personal thing but for now, as we speak I won’t do it because it’s not about having an offer, you need to know what you’re doing and how you intend to get to where you’re going, so you would systematically cut off any little thing that would want to be a barrier, I am not saying that I am better than a lot of people but I am saying my stand for now as I speak, I probably would not do that. If tomorrow I get the need to do that, then I am open to explore those grounds but for now I won’t do it.
But don’t you think there are some Christian artistes, who might also want to condemn your music because you wear trousers, earrings and make-ups because it might be contrary to their beliefs?
You see the thing about life is you can never please everyone, so you can only do your best and leave the rest to God because your reputation doesn’t depend on human but God, or let me even re-phrase it, my reputation is left to God, to faith. I do my best and I try my best to live right as a Christian and also fulfill the laws of the Book, my Bible and if I step on people’s toes in the process, I am ready to apologize but if pleasing God would mean stepping on people’s toes, then I don’t mind, I know God would always make that work out well for me but of course my ideology is JOY meaning (Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last). That’s what I do but if I am trying to do that and I am still not in your good books then it’s the person’s problem it’s not mine to face and because it’s not mine to go out of the way to please you and don’t forget you can’t please everyone.
Where are you from and where does your inspiration for good music comes from?
I am from Osun State, Ora Igbomina to be precise and as for my inspiration, the Bible says there’s a spirit in man that makes the breath of the Almighty gives him inspiration, so I have the breath of the Almighty inside of me and He gives me inspiration when I am in the presence of Him. I always find time to be in the presence of God because He always gives me inspiration.
How did you come about your stage name BOUQI?
BOUQI means Born Once more Unto a Quicken of parallel Image
How can you describe yourself if you’re asked to?
I am an unrepentant, uncompromising, unapologetic, Christaholic, Jesus freak!
Finally can you remind your fans of your real name and your number in the family?
Ok my name for those who don’t know is Bukola Afolayan and I am the fifth of sixth children, my father was a Professor, I am a Christian rapper. I love you my fans, I’m back now and you can follow me on twitter Bouqi2, follow me let’s get it pumping. Keep doing what you enjoy doing and God bless you all.
It’s been nice chatting with you?
Thanks Faith.
