DEATH RUMOUR TRAILS ETISALAT CHAIRMAN, KEEM BELLO-OSAGIE


There were fears over the state of health of multi-dimensional businessman, Hakeem Bello-Osagie penultimate Saturday 3rd of March 2012.  News had filtered in that he was discovered dead in his room on that Saturday morning and the rumour spread like wildfire within minutes. The rumours of the death have however been dispelled and the businessman is alive and well. Bello-Osagie, fondly called ‘Keem by friends and admirers holds the position of the Chairman of Etisalat Nigeria, he flaunts a distinguishing CV and was known to be a boardroom guru and businessman of high repute. He was the MD of UBA and the bank’s history is incomplete without him especially in view of his achievements as the Managing Director and CEO of the bank. Keem attended the famous Kings College after which he moved to Atlantic College, Wales. He bagged a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics after which he proceeded to Cambridge University where he bagged a Law degree in 1978, after which he was called to the Nigerian Bar. He also bagged an MBA from Havard Business School. His business interests cut across the banking, entertainment and telecoms sectors.
