For beautiful Kokoeka Florence Maeyen Ita, the adorable daughter of one of Nigeria’s female politicians of note, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, no language can ever express the power, beauty, heroism and majesty of her mother’s love and contributions to her recent superlative wedding.

Coming together they say is a beginning, keeping together is progress while walking in unity is a success and success no doubt has some prizes attached to it that’s why successful people think less of what detractors say about their achievements.

The high society lady, Sen. Ita Giwa and the Obiohas have not just become one as a result of the marriage liaison between their children, the families are long standing friends and they still enjoy the mutual trust and friendly co-operation till date.

The 23 year old bride, Koko is flaunting an enviable Law certificate from the prestigious Cambridge University and also a degree in International Relations from the University of Essex, United Kingdom before crowning everything with a masters degree which certifies her as an International Development Practitioner at VEL London whilst her humble and good looking hubby, Chimaobi Shawcross Obioha Jr. is a masters degree holder of the Coventry University, UK.

Their affair of 5 years was recently solemnized at the Methodist Church of the Holy Trinity, Tinubu, Lagos and the colourful reception which held at the Eko Hotel & Suites was attended by the who’s who of the society spanning all walks of life.

Tracing the genesis of their love story, the lucky bridegroom, Chimaobi, 29 was a guest of one of Koko’s cousins at a luncheon party held to mark her (Koko) birthday years back and ever since he set his eyes on the beautiful flower, he has decided to look no more, at any other lady and as if that’s not enough, the couple also met in England where they were both students and this must have been a catalyst to strengthening their love.

It has been a dream come through and successful outing for the lovely couple as they have concluded arrangements for their honeymoon and we learnt they’ll be leaving for the republic of Maldives Island very soon.

The newest couple in town has finalized arrangements with an exclusive resort at the Maldives Island known to be the smallest Asian country in both population and land area where they’ll be spending the one month honeymoon.   

   

What Does AIG Joseph Mbu Really Want

It has come to our notice that, the former Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Mbu (now AIG) who was transferred from Rivers State to Abuja in a controversial manner on account of his partisan involvement in the Patience Jonathan/Governor Amaechi's brouhaha has practically become a terror ordering the arrest of media practitioners in the country.

The super cop who's believed to be a cousin of the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan 2 days ago ordered the arrest of one of AIT's presenters, Amaechi Anakwue for referring to him as "controversial" on the popular programme, Matters Arising last wednesday and as if that was not enough, the man has been re-arrested shortly after being given bail and charged to court for defamation in an Abuja law court.

There's no doubt that, Joseph Mbu is only flexing his muscles to show that he has the President's ears, more so, he's just been promoted to an enviable Assistant Inspector General of Police-AIG post-so, he needs to let the world knows.

If I were Joseph Mbu, I wouldn't tow this line of action to get noticed, I would have mounted pressure on the powers-that-be of which everyone believes am close to and get the highest position of the Inspector General of Police-IGP.

This would have given him not just a befitting honour and enough media exposure to bask on but a reputation that'll stand the test of time instead of this cheap style of using a sledge hammer to kill an ant.

Our man, Amaechi anakwue has been charged to court for doing nothing but his duties and we're sure nothing will come out of Mbu's spuriously overzealous action, we'll leave the judge to take a position but Mbu and his lots should know that, members of fourth estate of realm are not their "wanton boys" and cannot be "killed for the birds", we're men of honour going about our reportorial duties with high sense of dignity and strict professional convention.

Sad Friday! One Of The Oshadipe Twins Dies!

One of the replica Oshadipe twins, Taiwo to be precise is dead. The petite and beautiful music star was nursing her baby of close to two years when she died this morning, Friday October 3^rd, 2014.

The velvet voiced Oshadipe twins are very industrious ladies who have been in the industry for a while. They’re both graduate and have done everything to keep their shoulders high. Taiwo got pregnant to yet an unknown man but the duo has since been coping with taking care of the baby on their own, in their apartment somewhere in Oko Oba , Abule Egba area of Lagos state.

The twins are very quiet and chose the events they attend. They both performed at the 2013 Miss Global Nigeria show which held at Bespoke Events Centre, Lekki, Lagos and at that material time, Taiwo’s baby was just months old when they sneaked in to honour the organizers.

We’re still getting more information as for the cause of death. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.  

Breaking! Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau Resurfaces, Says, “Am Alive!”

This is rather too unbelievable! For the second or third time, the strong man of the deadly Boko Haram insurgents, Abubakar Shekau must have once again fooled the whole Nigerian nation and of course the Jonathan-led federal government if the latest report about his being alive is actually true.
 

Abubakar Shekau, we gathered has released a 36 minutes recorded video of himself in action at the dreaded camp and the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, we gathered is laying claims to be in possession of the footages.

According to snippets from the video, Shekau is said to have made a mockery of the Nigerian Army saying “here I am, am alive, I’ll only die the day Allah takes my breath, we’re running our…Islamic caliphate and administering Sharia punishments”, he was quoted to have said.

It would be recalled however that the Nigerian Army had days back claimed that a high-ranking insurgent posing as Shekau had been killed in a serious gun dwell in Konduga, a Borno community and a pictorial evidence showing the body of the man being mercilessly maimed was shown to the world as a proof thereby leaving the Nigerian nation to jubilation and sort of relief to the beginning of the end of insurgents..

The question now is, ‘WHO’S FOOLING WHO”. Time will tell.

Faces @ Stephanies/Miss Global Nigeria Celebrations...Queen Leaves For Dubai

It was quite a day of honour as the collaboration between the management of Stephanies’ Bar & Lounge and Miss Global Nigeria turned out to be a mother of all celebrations. The colourful show which marked the 5^th anniversary of the upscale pub also hosted the winner’s party for the 5^th Miss Global Nigeria Queen.  

What an interesting figure 5 coincidental permutation-5^th anniversary celebration, 5^th Queen’s winner’s party with befitting honour for 5 personalities of sterling qualities. The show was an all comers affair with attendance spanning through all ethnic diversity including topflight Caucasians from all walks of life.  

People of immense professional qualities honoured at the event which saw all Miss Global Nigeria 2014 contestants on the catwalk modeling Bibi Africana’s breathtaking bespoke designs  include Desmond Elloit, Kenny St. Brown, Hon. Segun Adewale (Aeroland), Otunba Adekunle Olu and Cornel Udofia.

Meanwhile, the Miss Global Queen, Faith Eriata has left the shores of Nigeria for the United Arab Emirates where she’s expected to relax in preparation for the international pageant, Best Female Model which holds in Spain between October 17^th-27^th,,2014.
