Can’t President Jonathan Just Resign To Safe Face?

President Goodluck Jonathan must have accepted the fact that he’s falling short of the capability to midwife the Nigerian nation. This can be attested to in the news making rounds this morning when he was quoted to say he gets contradictory messages and advises on national issues succinct to say it’s been all about square pegs in round holes all the while.

The Nigerian nation no doubt has become a Banana Republic where no life is safe to live. Reports being collated by the UN have it that, if things persist the way it’s been going on now, by the end of year 2015, Nigeria might be declared unsafe to live.

You will understand what we’re talking about by the time you watch this very latest video posted by the crude and wicked Boko Haram group. It is one of their worst baseless killings ever where innocent and helpless citizens are being shot in the head, at close range for just no cause in broad day light on a trunk A road that belongs to the federal government.

As a matter of urgency, the Jonathan-led government is advised to declare full state of emergency by appointing military administrators in all Boko Haram ravaged states. This he must do now! Click on the link to view the pitiably sad operations of the serial murderers calling themselves Boko rubbish.

Can Someone Tell The President To Stop This Bloodletting!

The news of the death sentence of 54 soldiers who're to die by firing squad having found guilty of mutiny is the latest news in town right now.

And just about few months back, some 12 soldiers' fate too was also decided through same capital punishment, in a democratic setting?

These people have been found guilty of mutiny. Mutiny of what? Found guilty for resisting to face some powers that are obviously above them. Found guilty for not gullibly jumping into a ditch, being punished for asking the Nigerian State to stand to its responsibility by providing sophisticated weapons that could enable them match the merciless and undauntedly cruel insurgents fire for fire.

Some were said to have sold out by supporting the insurgents to the detriment of the Nigerian State. Would this had happened if the nation had taken care of its men? It is a known fact that an untrained child will definitely sell his father's property.

To the best of our knowledge, corruption itself is the highest form of mutiny one can think of and if the C-i-C can give corruption a soft landing in one of his responses in a national TV, "corruption is not stealing", then these soldiers have done nothing to warrant being wasted like a grind rind of an orange.

History beckons on the Jonathan-led government if these innocent soldiers lost their lives just like that when there's more than enough evidence to vindicate them.

We're all aware and students of history and the western world are already in possession of the confidential letter written to President Jonathan by one of the generals in the battle front exposing the dirty deals going on and how the "GoCs" have been sabotaging the efforts of the Nigerian Army from conquering the insurgents.

This letter is good enough to give an insight into what a good administration should level on and do the needful.

At a time like this, when the nation is supposed to be in a sober mood and when all hands are meant to be on deck to find a lasting solution to the calamities befalling the country, shedding blood is the least anyone can pray for, what happen to life imprisonment if there must be a stiff penalty.

It's even more demeaning of a nation whose soldiers cannot boast of modern weapons and ammunition in its armoury and an ordinary militant is audacious enough to purchase sophisticated weapons and warships.

Who's fooling who? What's Tompolo's recent warship acquisition for? Who's behind all these, and for what basis is a warship for an individual to acquire. Needless to emphasise that the abortive efforts of this government to acquire weapons through the back door have been realised eventually.

The Otta farmer might be seen to be blowing hot but there's an urgent need for us to come to term with some of the agitation and reservations of the elderstatesman for this government and it is high time we reviewed the contents of his very first expose that shook the nation to its very root.

We must all wake up to stand up to this STAGE which seems to have been SET for...!

Because to before warn is to before harm.

APC Denies Naming Buhari’s Running Mate As Bribery Scandal Rocks Osibajo

APC has denied naming former Attorney General of Lagos State, Prof. Yemi Osibajo as the Vice Presidential candidate of the party. The social media had been awash with reports that Prof. Osibajo is the running mate to General Buhari.

National Publicity Secretary of APC, Lai Mohammed told news men over the phone that the party is still deliberating on available option. He said APC will be detailed and thorough in its considerations.

Meanwhile in another development, Information gathered on the dirty past of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s pastor, Prof. Osibajo is not favourably palatable.

According to sources, Prof Osibajo had served as the lead legal counsel to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in his petition against the election of President Jonathan’s former boss, late President Umar Yar’Adua. Available information allegedly indicates that Prof. Osibajo betrayed the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who his client at that time.

Dependable sources revealed that, Prof Osibajo allegedly connived with Wole Olanipekun who was the lead legal counsel to the then President Yar’Adua – to subvert the legal process and to derail Atiku Abubakar’s chances of possible victory at the Supreme Court. Interestingly, Osibajo was seconded as Yar’Adua’s Chief Legal Consultant on the advice of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Prof Osibajo is reported to be Tinubu’s anointed candidate for the vice presidential slot but it has been ratified according to the statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

In a related development, the Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s camp appears unhappy with the way the pendulum of APC’s choice of VP is swinging particularly considering his political weight, frantic effort to face and discredit the Jonathan’s administration and above all his financial investment so far, all these are what we gathered some school of thoughts are looking at for Amaechi's candidacy as the VP.

It remains unsure if the grumblings within the party will result to the possible decampment of involved personalities.

”I Prosecuted, Got Damages For Stella Death”-Olusegun Obasanjo

It’s been over ten years since Stella Obasanjo passed on…she died after undergoing a cosmetic surgery…and for the first time, Obasanjo has publicly talked about her death!

In his controversial new autobiography titled, ‘My Watch’, former President Olusegun Obasanjo said he didn’t know that his late wife, former First lady Stella Obasanjo had been planning to undergo a tummy tuck to mark her 60th.

On page 240 in Volume two of his book, Obasanjo said it was after she had died on October 23rd 2005 in Spain that he found out what really killed her. What he said after the cut…

“After the internment, I decided to look into the circumstances of her death. I found that part of her 60th birthday anniversary, which was unknown to me, was her operation for her tummy and her shape.”
The former President said through the help of the Nigerian Embassy in Spain, he was able to get justice for his wife who according to him, died due to the cosmetic surgeon’s carelessness

“I instructed that the doctor and the clinic be prosecuted. The lost life cannot be brought back but the successful prosecution would prevent carelessness and loss of life in the future”.
He said the doctor was made to pay damages which was collected by Olu, Stella’s only child and the doctor’s license withdrawn.
He also addressed insinuations that he used his wife as a sacrifice for his success in office

“Before the verdict in Spain, I was unaware of what I came to hear later that I might have caused the death of my wife to sacrifice her for success in my job. That is how wicked and satanic some Nigerians can be in their rumors and mischief.” he said

Wicked Ugandan Maid Gets 4 Years Jail Term For Toddler’s Torture

The Ugandan maid that tortured an innocent toddler has been sentenced to four years jail term for assaulting, in a case which sparked national and international outrage after a video was released.
Jolly Tumuhirwe, 22, was filmed beating, kicking and stamping on the 18-month-old child.
On Friday, she said the attack was a

revenge after she was beaten by the child’s mother.
The mother denied beating her. Earlier charges of torture were dropped.
Chief Magistrate Lillian Buchan told Tumuhirwe she had committed an “unjustifiable and inexcusable” crime.
She said the sentence was appropriate in light of the “ruthlessness exhibited” on an “innocent, helpless child”, reports the AFP news agency.

Jonathan’s Ingratitude To Obasanjo Will Cost Him 2015 Election-Asari Dokubo

One of the biggest supporters and kinsman of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has declared that the president has lost the support of his political base, the South-south and the
South-East owing to the failure of his government to deliver on its promises.
Dokubo-Asari, at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, said that it would be tough for Jonathan to win the presidential election in 2015 if he decides to run based on the poor showing of his administration.

He said that his decision to speak out was for him and others who are ardent supporters of Jonathan not to be blamed for his failure in 2015.
He said: “I want to start with an Ijaw proverb, which says: the eyes watched its seven children to death. Instead of advising them, it was just looking at them until they died, while the mouth talked its only child to life and success.
“We have continued as Ijaw people and the entire Niger Delta and South-South to support the presidency of President Goodluck Jonathan, but a time has come when silence cannot be golden.
“We mainly speak out in issues that are very critical to the survival of our people, the survival of the people of the South-South and the South-East, which happens to be the political base of Goodluck Jonathan.
“Jonathan is surrounded by very greedy people who are only in the Presidency to enrich themselves at the expense of Goodluck himself.
“This brings us to another Kalabari proverb, which says: where there are elders, a goat cannot be allowed to deliver tied to a stick.
“If we don’t talk and we continue to brush it aside, tomorrow we will be blamed and people will say: Mujahid Dokubo-Asari was around when Goodlcuk Jonathan was president and he didn’t talk.
“Then I will be an accomplice and accessory after the fact….
“It is alarming because the South-South must have its uninterrupted eight years tenure, which is constitutional.
“But with how things are going under Jonathan’s watch, we are afraid that we may not be able to have our eight years tenure because there will be no magic about it if it is going to be one man one vote.”
Dokubo-Asari said he will continue to speak out despite the fact that he had benefitted from Jonathan, adding that one of those causing trouble for the President remains the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Godsday Orubebe.
He said: “I have benefited immensely from Goodluck Jonathan with my stake but benefit alone is not enough to make me to keep quiet when the period is very challenging for our people.
“So, some of us are tempted to ask this question: why are all these things happening?
“Why has the President allowed some ministers like Godsday Orubebe to continue in government?
“Everyday people die on the East-West Road.
“If Orubebe is incompetent as he has shown himself to be, he should be removed.
“Nobody voted for Orubebe.
“And why is Orubebe so important to the President that he can’t remove him even in the face of his obvious incompetence and several allegations of corruption?
“We feel very ashamed and embarrassed.
“Orubebe was one of us.
“He was attending meetings with us, sleeping on the ground with us, entering night bus with us and we nominated him to be appointed a minister.
“We have gone to him and complained to him that we don’t like the way things are going in his ministry and told him that if the President leaves in 2015 without the completion of the East-West Road, we are finished.
“And the man keeps telling us there is no money.
“When IBB (former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida) was there, there was money.
“When Abacha was there, there was money.
“When others were there, there was money.
“How come the money disappeared when Jonathan got there?
“Jonathan and orubebe will account for the death in the East-West Road.”
On the face-off between Jonathan and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dokubo-Asari said there was no need for it.
He said that no matter what Jonathan feels, he still remains a beneficiary of Obasanjo’s large heartedness.
He said: “First, there was no need for Goodluck Jonathan to disagree with Olusegun Obasanjo.
“I don’t like Obasanjo.
“I don’t like his face.
“I hate him.
“But he was instrumental in bringing Goodluck Jonathan to power.
“And the greedy people around Jonathan have not managed him enough to the extent that the President and people around him will allow Jonathan to disagree with Obasanjo openly
“And if you check, all the people who supported Goodluck Jonathan and fought to bring him to power, have openly disagreed with him.
“What was the cause of these disagreements?
“These are the questions we want to put to the president.
“Some people say Obasanjo is manipulating Goodluck Jonathan, that is why Jonathan is disagreeing with him and we ask: what has Goodluck Jonathan’s government achieved to show that it is a departure from other governments that have existed since 1956?
“For us, nothing has changed.
“It is still business as usual.
“So what are the advice that Obasanjo gave to Jonathan that were so difficult for him to fulfill, that made him decide to fall out with Obasanjo?
“Obasanjo was instrumental and manipulated the process that illegally removed Diepreye Alamieyeseigha as governor of Bayelsa State and installed Jonathan as governor, made him vice president, fought for him to become acting president and also fought for him to become president of Nigeria.
“Apart from Obasanjo, there are so many people who supported Goodluck Jonathan, some have been pushed out by those who were not there to give him any support, while some others are trapped and they cannot talk.
I have a feeling that Fulani man Buhari would have done more for Niger-delta than Jonathan has done so far Jonathan has done nothing for Niger Delta actually. It is getting more and more difficult to support him, the second niger bridge is another issue. Even his allies are denouncing him. What a shame!
